So are we burying the Celtics because of tonight, then?

i wouldnt say that...but they need to win friday because they will have little chance to pull the upset sunday vs the cavs. they cannot go 0-4 this week at home. i keep hoping atlanta will lose some so we can avoid the cavs as long as possible

Look..the Cavs are a Great Team..but they are beatable.

Well, at least the Lakers got crushed.
And we like that why? Because it puts Atlanta 1 game ahead in the hunt for the third spot?

And we still have several games to go..and we all know that ATL is not consistent.

And even if ATL finishes ahead of us..are we still counting out the Celtics?

boston finishes 4th they have a tough road even in the first round vs the bucks. they cant handle bogut and might not make it out of that alive...then you get the cavs in round 2? that is a tough road to go down. they finish third they get the heat then magic...much much easier

Bottom line the Celtics didnt excute down the stretch. Your down 4 and the play we get is Rasheed for 3. :o then Pierce misses a point blank layup. Game Over

WRONG-!.....Bottom line is---you get SCREWED all night--The other team sticks around to steal the game----there wouldn't be failure to execute, if the game had been called even REMOTELY fair.
Oh yeah must be some conspiracy against the Celtics by the NBA and the refs gimmie a break.

By the one team we want to lose...

Yeah, but I'll take the Lakers loss.  Its the only thing happy for me this evening.

Right, excuse me -- I thought for a second I should be happy if things go well for the Celtics. I must have been confused, I should be happy if things go poorly for the Lakers.  ::)

There will NOT be a Cavs match up in the 2nd round.  The Bucks will beat us in 6 or 7.  Good night.  It is over.  It was a very nice one year run.  We got our ring and NO ONE can take it away from us.  Sorry guys, but this is likely the truth.

Hope you don't base this opinion on tonight's game...

Thanks for signing it. Makes for a great quote, preferably after the ring ceremony, at the start of the '10 '11 season.

Smitty77 - I respect your post, and I can see how folks feel after the last two games, but I cannot count out The Celtics until after they are defeated in seven games.

Call it Custer's Last Stand, whatever, but that's how I feel.

TP for you.

Hey, I love this OKC team---I'm happy for them--I hope they eliminate the Lakers....but they were GIFTED this game tonight---they played great too---but did not deserve all the calls they got.

Which dark hole did you crawl out of?? Did you watch the game? Did you see the 3 most powerful zebras in the world?

Well, if you want to win it all, you gotta get through Cleveland in the East.  Losing in the 2nd round to Cleveland vs. losing in the 3rd round to Cleveland... its the same to me.  Either means the Cs don't compete for #18.  So I don't really care either way.  The key thing is to get a playoff rotation down, and to get hot entering the playoffs.  I'm still hopeful it can happen.

sure the cavs are beatable sunday...but boston hasnt really shown me they can actually do that...sunday they flat out didnt play vs the spurs and tonight they were screwed. friday needs to be a win over the rockets. they must get a win this week or they will most likely be in the 4 hole vs the bucks and then the cavs...

and what sucks is they have to play the bucks twice really late in the season...then turn around and play them again in a 7 game series. i hear what people are saying about the cavs in round 2 but i am worried about the bucks
