How did Rondo not get a foul call on that last basket?

I think that KG fall could eventually be a good thing.. he took it, got the wind knocked out of him, got up, and is ok.  Now I think he'll continue to play more and more aggressive w/o fear.

Did KG look a little shaken up as he walked back at the end of the first half?

The starters are between +4 and +7.

The bench? Between -5 and -8.

Go figure.

Hmm, watching highlights of Manu driving to the basket and hitting close shots.  You know who he reminds me of? Kobe.  I don't think that's a ridiculous comparison at all.

Where would the Celtics be if they had signed McDyess instead of Sheed?

The Spurs went with their starting swingmen against our bench and just attacked with whoever Finley was guarding.  Combine that with Nate's and Baby's inaccuracy and there are the bench's problems.

Cause Jefferson already had 2 fouls....Spurs got ALL of the calls in the 2nd quarter---How was that NOT a fould when KG went to dunk it?...Cause it was Ginobli.

It's a fair comparison. Both guys are really tough competitors and have a passion for winning. I think I read somewhere (maybe Hollinger) that Manu can duplicate or even better Bryant's stats if he played more minutes (maybe same as Kobe's) or as a starter.

ZERO energy in the 2nd quarter...Good thing Pierce/KG came to play...Ray back to RUSHING his shots and throwing up Bricks...BBD looked awkward,Nate front-rimmed his shots with the gimpy ankle....Pretty lame effort for the most part---we should be up 10.

Not sure; I don't think McDyess has been that great for them, either.

Manu's pick and roll play makes him a much more dangerous playmaker than Kobe.  He's also a better transition player.  Kobe's much better as an iso scorer and a bit better as a defender.

Just noticed Kobe and Manu have almost exactly similar bodies, too: 6'6'' 205 lbs, very similarly built.  I'm not sure I agree that Kobe is a better defender than Manu - I think they're at least on par in that category.

I'd say Kobe's main edge is, like you said, that he is better at creating his own shot from outside on isolation plays and such.  He's maybe a bit more athletic (leaping ability etc).
