Wow ... that's really a cheap shot, and you're right, this guy should be gone, (or fined heavily and suspended). Creep.

Could there be 3 New England titles in 2011?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
But it sure would be nice!

I always consider the super bowl as part of the prior year. Which would mean the Pats could have four titles in the decade (which starts in 2001.)

Of course if the Celts and Sox Revolution and Bruins win their championships, and then the Pats don't in 2011/12 - I will probably change my ordering, for trash talking purposes.

UPDATE: Just realized for Jinxing purposes you must have been talking about different teams.

Patriots are playing so much better than any other team in the league right now it isn't even close.

Does it get under anyone else's skin when national people state how bad the Pat's defense is calling one of the worst in the league because of yardage given up yet they will probably be a top 15 defense in points allowed per game?

Isn't it more important to not give up points that it is to give up yards?

After Moss-Branch got done the team has looked incredible.

No doubt Tom Brady is having an MVP season.

Patriots were playing so much better than every other team in 2007, too.  Nothing matters except the Super Bowl.  In one game, any team can win.

To address your question, yes, it does kind of bother me when people say the Pats defense is so bad.  They have a huge turnover advantage (I think it's +15 or +16 now), which suggests the offense takes care of the ball AND the defense is good at creating turnovers.  They have won many games by large margins because they both score a lot of points AND prevent the other team from scoring when it matters.

The Pats defense is at least average, I think.  In the last few weeks, it's been pretty incredible.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

The defense clearly started out suspect, but it has really developed into a thing of beauty over the last few weeks to a month. It has been fun to watch the progression. The national media is always slow to catch on, and they will probably go over the top about it when they finally do.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

If the Jets don't fire this guy immediately, it reflects really really badly on the organization. He's a strength coach, they are a dime a dozen. He NEEDS to be fired. How could this guy possibly think he wouldn't be caught by cameras. Has to be the stupidest person in football, a truly despicable act.

Yesterday was, by far, one of the most exciting and fun sporting events I've ever attended.

The weather, the tailgate, the people, and the game.  Just everything made it an absolute blast.

I love my Bears, but the Bears/Jets have two of the worst offenses in the league (both are bottom third in my book). Detroit also put up an unacceptable number of points for a good defense on Thanksgiving early.

The offense covers for a multitude of sins, but I'm curious how more talented/consistent offenses will do against the Pat's D after the last three weeks.

Of course given the schedule that appears to be off in the playoffs.

GB (likely without Rogers), @Buffalo, and Miami. Buffalo is likely to have the best offense of the three  :o.

The scary thing is, if I recall correctly, they have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds next year (their own, plus the Raiders 1st, the Chiefs 2nd, and the Vikings 3rd).

Carolina's second, not chiefs...basically "1st rounder plus 1"

Yeah, I moved out here back in Sept '09.  It was awesome to have the Pats in town since its pretty rare.

There were a ton of people in Pats gear all over the place yesterday.  Really great atmospehere.
