Really like Benjarvus.  Not great, but consistently moves forward and holds the ball like vice.

Pet Peeve: Missed tackles. Opposite: Patriot Picks!

Agreed with both posts.  It has led me to think that RB is not the top need for the Pats in the 2011 draft.  Instead probably need #3 behind O-Line (assuming Mankins isn't back) and OLB/DE.

BTW, maybe we can nickname Danny Woodhead "Danny Woodshed", bc the way he took it to the Jets & Ryan reminded me of the old saying about taking someone out back to the woodshed for a lesson...

Love the "Danny Woodshed" idea ... one of my Dad's favorite sayings: "Took 'em to the woodshed!" (TP).

Tom Brady's leadership and level of intensity is unmatched this year.

I am sorry but Manning might be the better QB when it is all said and done but there is no way Peyton gets as much out of his teammates as Tom Brady does. The way he has taken his young weapons under his wing is incredible.

He was in Hernandez's ear all night until finally he was able to break free and make some big plays. He wont let his guys become disengaged from the game. He knew he was going to need to stretch the field eventually and number 85 was the only guy they had to do that against the Jets.

This quality cannot be overstated enough especially on a team with so many young contributors.

Competitveness and fire is what seperates Brady from everyone else. Manning might have all the stats and to tell you the truth, he still scares the crap out of me in the 2 minute drill, but Ill ride with Brady every day and twice on Sunday (and Monday night!)

Tom Brady is like the Kevin Garnett of football ... the guy is so incredibly intense ... and he not only demands the best from his team-mates, but brings the best out of them by setting the example. It's beautiful to watch.

Great minds ... (;)) TP

One thing that kills me is Santonio Holmes Celebrating first down catches when his team is getting killed.  Does this guy not understand the game?

on a side note, watching James sanders hold the ball out after his pick like holmes does after he gets a first down was incredibly satisfying.

I did feel bad for holmes in one respect though i loved every minute of his suffering. How many times did sanchez get confused by a defense set, hot audible holmes to a check down drag 3 yards off the line and throw it high and in front so saunders could kill him.

I was seriously laughing by the 5th or 6th time. they even did it once on 3rd and 12, like mark thought holmes was going to catch that and break it for 10 more YAC.

The camera's caught a sideline exchange between holmes and sanchez and me and my buddies watching went inside the mind of a santaonio holmes:

SH: hey mark

MS: sup holmes

SH: not much, not much....look can I talk to you for a sec?

MS: shoot

SH: could you mabey not p--- yourself the next time you see an indication of a blitz and route me 3 yards in front of saunders on a freaking drag route? I'm about done getting hammered in the ribs since your tinkle toe happy butt can't throw a 3 yard pass without making me reach for it? I think there on to your clever scheme.

MS: nah, don't worry man, 5 more times and saunders will get tired of getting a free shot at you and forget to cover our obvious panic check down. Pete carroll always said, be predictable it lulls defenses to sleep.

“I will hurt you for this. A day will come when you think you’re safe and happy and your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth. And you will know the debt is paid.” – Tyrion

BREAKING NEWS: Practice at the Jets Stadium was delayed 2 hours yesterday after a player found a white powdery substance on the ground.

Police and Homeland Security investigated. Experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact the goal line.

Practice will resume since the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

The Pats thrive in bad weather ... I consider it an advantage for us, though the Bears are no strangers to it. Brady has played some of his best games in the snow. ;)

The wind is going to be the wild card here.  The gusts right now are 30 mph +.

Snow is coming down sideways.  Quite the sight.

I don't think the cold weather will affect the Pats, but I definitely worry about the wind and the field conditions.

High winds will make even the most accurate quarterbacks look bad, and a muddy field will take away the speed advantages of Welker, Woodhead, and others.

I can't wait to order wings and sit down for this game!

The winds eliminate Brady's accuracy, but also Cutler's accuracy.  I think the game will come down to the team that can pound it out on the ground the best, and the team that can take advantages of turnovers best.  I'd rank both teams at better than the average NFL team at both of those.  I think the advantage shifts slightly to the Bears, because Brady has been on fire as of late (more so than Cutler) and the winds eliminate that edge, and because the Pats kicker is going to struggle with the wind more than the Bears kicker.

I think with the short passing game of the pats the wind will be less of a factor than the passing game of the bears.

I think the mental discipline that Brady has will be valuable.  Cutler has all the tools, but hes a meat head.  I think Cutler will be the one making mistakes, but with the bears defense they can force mistakes no matter how mentally sharp Brady is.  It will be a good matchup.
