Sorry, I liked the Baby over Kevin topic better. Not much better, but at least Baby has a reputation IN BOSTON (not so much anywhere else, to be honest) to shoot. Daniels clearly can't even do that, and that's not what we even brought him for. The Celtics DID want BBD to develop a jump shot.
Strangely though Daniels has a better eFG% on jump shots than BBD. Last year they were similar shooters from two point range at .373 for Daniels and .365

I don't think either guy is a shooter that teams worry about, but to say one is better than the other is incorrect. Marquis does take more of his shots off of his own drives though.

Long story short, you seem short-sighted with this topic, Rtpas. And like the guy who made the Baby over KG topic, you just give fantasy people a bad name. It doesn't even matter if you are one or not, but that's who I, and most likely many others could compare you to.
I'm not sure what this has to do with anything. Talk about the ideas in the post, not what your perceive about the poster and other topics

Doc has taken my idea and ran with it!!! I love how Daniels isn't starting but being inserted about 2 minutes in to the games as of late because Paul is either in foul trouble or not defending. The result of this has reserved Paul's energy for 4th qtr production and also to play alongside the 2nd unit. The experiment with the 2nd unit Paul has yet to work properly, but has potential. The key to success for PUl playing with the 2nd unit is Paul Pierce. When Nate and Paul is on the floor together Nate should automatically go into role-player mode. Paul should be the ball handler and distributor and agressor. I repeat Paul Pierce Should Never call for Picks when with the 2nd unit! He simply should call an Iso and or post up his defender and kick out when trapped. That's It! Thanks for reading and taking my advice Doc! ****!!!! Cut The Check!!!

Uh considering that Paul played the entire first ten minutes of the Houston game I don't think Doc has "adopted" your idea. Unless you think he told Paul to get two quick fouls in the previous two games.

I know this is quite late in the life of this thread; however, I just wanted to throw it out there.  I've seen many of these start said-bench-player in place of said-starter.  The only problem of course is that the starters play more minutes than the bench players, so if we were to go directly with two units of players, doing a Marquis for Pierce swap would mean that PP would get far fewer minutes per game, which I don't think anyone would want.

Thus, in such a scenario, Pierce would have to play 15 or so minutes a game with the starters anyway...which would kinda be like what would happen if he was starting in the first place.

I think the better solution for people to be posting is what bench combinations Doc should be trying to work with.  Maybe the better solution would be to have Marquis the first guy off the bench for PP, then let him get some run with the starters.  Then bring PP back early and let him get some time with the bench.
