Yea I will be a lot happier if we can get two more runs and pull this out. The sad part is both of these players could very well not be on the team next year, although I think papi is a lot more likely to be gone.

Boras is going to want a 20 year, 5 trillion dollar contract for Beltre now

Beltre is one & down with the Sox.  I'd be shocked if he was somehow playing for the Sox in '11.

Which is a bummer because he seems like a good fit here

Lackey is not a big game pitcher.  Can't even beat Cleveland's AAA lineup? ???

its really unfortunate. The only members of the starting lineup that hasn't been injured this year are Scutaro, Beltre, and Ortiz.
And they've still won more than 60 games.

Imagine if they were completely healthy, this team would be scary good.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

This season started rocky and then was derailed by injuries. We probably will go through the full season without seeing how this team could perform healthy and at their peak.

At least the injury to Youk will allow Lowell to play out the season, and he deserves it for being the consummate professional.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

They just signed him.  Dude hasn't played in more than a year.  We'll see if he's got anything left.

EDIT: Signed to a minor-league contract, he's on his way to Pawtucket.
