Was anyone else surprised to see the bench in the game with 4 left to go?

The bench did well in the 1st half---Doc left PP in too long to start the 2nd half---like the first 18 minutes----kinda threw the rotation out of whack---and NOBODY would get the ball to Ray Allen and/or Finley tonight.

curious if u watched the game?? rondo was all over the place down the stretch as a matter of fact all game

Had it on, yeh, and there was no flow to the offense. None. "All over the place" translated to only 16 points=?

So Washington blows a lead and it's because they are inexperienced and can't close out a game. We do the same exact thing except we don't really have an excuse. too bad

  • GOT IT!!!
It doesn't get any easier tomorrow night. I expect the C's to get pounded on the boards again. Randolph may have a field day.

This one doesn't kill me too much. It's a loss, but we lost because of dumb things that can be fixed. Like getting arrogant for a test and then failing it kind of dumb.
Disagree. Still have yet to find a rhythm. Been doing dumb and arrogant all season.

We prevent another team from scoring 90 points and again our offense stinks.

And Perkins should not have seen the court down the stretch in the 4th. I'd rather see Sheed jack up 3 after 3 than see Perk get owned by Bogut, over and over.

Perk seems to get in these mano-mano things with guys like Bogut. He needs to get straightened out.

And another thing. No one besides KG was rebounding. Perk should be getting more than 5. Davis had 1--that's Scal-worthy. Sheldon?

Perk does GREAT vs. Centers who can't shoot from the outside....but he gets KILLED by the few who can shoot.

Yeah, Donnie is a BORE---but all in all--Boston fans are EXTREMELY LUCKY to have this NE crew---I live in LA--and it's HORRIBLE out here---I thank the Lord for DIRECTV sometimes-!

Perk's stock has been declining very rapidly over the past couple months. I'm starting to think he is just a specialist for D howard and Shaq. I might be a little harsh but he has been a HUGE disappointment. This was a guy who I thought had a chance of being an all star earlier in the year and for a couple months he has been as bad a starting center as there is. I would love for Sheed to get some more PT, maybe that will light a fire under Perk. If not it's not like Sheed can play much worse than Perk is.

It should have been Pierce and Kg pick and roll. Kg taking the 18 ft jump shot. cmon
Any time Boston is going against a center like Bogut ... late in games KG should be moved to center on offensive possessions and Boston should go to the pick and roll.

Opposing teams simply aren't able to defend that play at a high level. Boston will consistently get a good shot out of that play for Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce or a swing pass to a shooter on the other side of the floor.

This is where they miss a guy like James Posey. A good fit offensively for small ball and good enough defensively to live with him at the four.
what about Finley?
That would be very good so long as the C's can make an immediate offense/defense substitution and pull him right back out of the game. His defense + rebounding is too big of an issue to leave him out there for consecutive plays unlike James Posey.

Hasn't Finley always been a pretty solid defender? I don't know much about his rebounding but I always thought he was a good defender. He's not a young guy anymore so that obviously factors in a bit
