It should have been Pierce and Kg pick and roll. Kg taking the 18 ft jump shot. cmon
Any time Boston is going against a center like Bogut ... late in games KG should be moved to center on offensive possessions and Boston should go to the pick and roll.

Opposing teams simply aren't able to defend that play at a high level. Boston will consistently get a good shot out of that play for Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce or a swing pass to a shooter on the other side of the floor.

This is where they miss a guy like James Posey. A good fit offensively for small ball and good enough defensively to live with him at the four.
what about Finley?

boston has to be the 3 seed folks...a 4 seed is a disaster draw for them

Do we play the Bucks again? If we do, I would like to see Shelden on Bogut for a few minutes...curious to see how he defends him.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Didn't get to see the game, but just read the boxscore.

Thoughts:

Ray, only 3 shots ???
And I'm happy that Rondo went 8 of 9 from the free throw line :o
he needs to hit free throws well so we can stop having to rely on the ill-fated Paul ISO's at the end of games.

I don't think Finley even got to touch the ball when he finally got in there in the 4th....HORRIBLE play calling..

Gang, something is out of whack when Ken-brick Perkins is putting up nine and Mr. Ray Jesus Allen puts up 3. I ask you. Add a sorry 3-12 from El Capitano and you have the writing on the wall. Perk is in need of attitude adjustment and does not need to play down the stretch. And where was Rjon down the stretch?

Was anyone else surprised to see the bench in the game with 4 left to go?

I think Paul was being a bit of a ball hog early on. Perk taking bad shots. Rondo and KG feeding Perk when he doesn't deserve to get shots.

This one doesn't kill me too much. It's a loss, but we lost because of dumb things that can be fixed. Like getting arrogant for a test and then failing it kind of dumb.
