It's funny my wife, who only watches when she happens to be in the room, noticed it too. I blew it off as just them firing each other up. she said they really looked p---ed. Then this morning saw this topic and knew exactly what people were talking about. But i think it was just them getting psyched, I remember i used to do this kind of thing in highschool with people. its mental prep for when you go out there gotta get that fire in the belly. its a non situation.
"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

I worry much less about that than I do about Perk and his horrific body language. This year he's gotten really out of control and is constantly showing his frustrations. He seems to overreact when he doesn't receive the ball in the post if he has good position and/or a switch has occurred. Another example is when he rotates to help out a teammate and his man scores when a teammate failed to properly rotate to Perk's man. This exact thing happened yesterday towards the end of the game when he yelled at PP. Granted, he's right in these situations, but there is another way to address these issues.

I do love Perk's game and all the toughness and little things he brings to the floor, but unless he changes his attitude I rather look for a sign and trade when he's up for a re-signing. 4M per yr and a bad attitude is one thing, but 10M per yr is quite another.

sometimes yelling is how you have to get threw to people. I know guys playing pickup who yell when your guy gets by or when you don't rotate. I don't hold it against them its the way they are, as long as perk keeps doing his thing right let him yell.

It's not just that. It's his body language on the whole. Watch him when he's sulking at the end of the bench or when a teammate, or Doc for that matter, speaks to him.

Alright Bankshot, stop being snippy. You know exactly what I meant. I would like to hear somebody come out and say "It was a little disagreement", or "They were just firing each other up"... I couldn't tell excatly what was going on, I would be curious to see a clarification...

Cranky Monday morning? This is why this site sucks now. You can't post anything without a moderator coming on and condescending you in some way. I see it all the time now, it's ridiculous. I mean, are you so important that you have to jump on me like this? Everything turns into a giant verbal melee.

I just got engaged last night and was in the best mood, and just seeing that snarky crap sends me over the edge. I am a 32 year old man, not a little boy and I don't like being talked to like that.

How was I being snippy?  I really wasn't sure what you needed an explanation for, especially when most of the posts before yours thought the thing between Pierce and Garnet was nothing.  I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not.  No biggie.  BTW, I am not a mod.

Yeah maybe I overreacted, I just get annoyed on this site. I post like once every couple weeks and usually get instantly ripped like I am a know nothing moron (which I am) by somebody with 10,000 posts. Not just em either, I just see it everywhere.

I saw a clip, it looked contentious, I was saying 'it would be nice to get a clarification'. That's all, and I stand by that.

Hah. at-least people pay attention to you. I rarely come on here any more these days either, other then to troll the odd interesting topic. But, when I do get fired up to write, do a little research, put together a coherent well thought out post, i never NEVER get replied to anymore, it's like talking to a wall sometimes, which I'm fine with by the way, but it's more fun to get a little back and forth going. Time was I always had one debate or another going on and actually made me excited to log on and see if I had gotten a response, but I was also an **** back then, so it was probably more me goading the other person into the debate, hah ...

It would be too ironic if this post ended the thread so i had to respond. Although I have nothing to add...

During a timeout in the Wizards game, an apparent argument:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSRJODa67tA

Just so this doesn't end up as an ugly rumor, this was NOT an argument ... they do this all the time to psych each other up, and that's ALL this was. KG was talking to Ray and Paul and yelling that they could pull out the win, but in worse language. It continued out on the floor and they had their heads together just getting each other pumped up. ;)

Exactly.

i think there was initially a legit argument, but once the team huddled b4 leaving the bench, it looks like they turned the words into motivation.

its understandable and normal.....there was frustration and they are close with one another.  chaulk it up as 2 brothers arguing, but have each other's back and dont hold a grudge.

this happens a lot more than one would think, its just not always televised.

<i could be dead wrong about this, but its my interpretation>

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I've been a part of a lot of teams, from elementary school to high school to college to mens club.

I have never been on a team where teammates did not have disagreements that led to screaming.

Well I don't remember any in elementary school. But we were just kids.
