Did anyone catch the great exchange between Paul and KG in the last timeout before the Wiz's last possesion?

It was classic. Paul was trying to get in KGs face and he was like (Insert expletives) Hey Im talking to you!

KG then turns around, while screaming expetives and puts his forehead on Pierces and they just start shouting at each other.

If they play with that type of intensity and emotion for an entire ballgame (like I think they will in the playoffs) they are unbeatable IMO.

thats a dumb way to look at it. Thats not gonna help Pierces injured/lazy defense, and garnetts slowness and terrible play

...

Don't go call stuff dumb if you come up with stuff like that yourself.

If energy was the issue, the above might actually be a good answer.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Pierce & KG's "lazy, slow, injured, terrible" D just won them the game in the 4th quarter.

You shouldn't call people's opinions "dumb" if that's all you're going to bring.

If we play like this in Milw---we'll get killed---
Doc's gotta recognize when his team hasn't come to play---and sub some energy guys.
the bench was 3 for 21 tonight

what energy did you want Doc to put in tonight

the bench was awful in that second half

Co-sign. Nate was bad tonight. Like Tommy said, if he's not going to shoot, why is he in the game.

At the same time he was the most animated Celtics player on the bench which shows me even when he's having a bad night he stays engaged. It sounds silly but these things stand out to me.
Giving one for the observation about Nate on the bench

Couple of times he was standing and jumping around when the Wiz were playing offense and I could help but think "Isn't that against the rules. Didn't they institute a players must sit during play time rule" or something like that.

Pierce? Garnett?

If anything Ray Allen won them the game with his two three pointers and spurts. Rondo second.

Im not arguing with anybody, but I dont believe shouting with eachother is gonna help in the playoffs.

The team is not playing well, Pierce hasnt looked at all like Pierce injury or just out of shape. And Garnett looks like washed up player compared to past.

Yeah that was really funny. Did you also catch Tom Thibedeau on the sidelines when KG and Pierce were doubling Thornton? He was right next to them with his hands up like he was part of the trap.

If there is no rule, I propose that we use our bench as defense for that whole sideline. It may not be popular at first but in time it would be accepted as part of the game. Think of it like psych-outs from the movie BASEketball (if you have ever seen it).

Honestly man can you really not post here? I am so sick of your trolling. We all love Ray Allen too. We also happen to like the Celtics! This is Celticsblog. Not Ray Allen blog. I dont know how many times I have to tell you that. You must be so bored.

Yes. Ray Allen made shots.  But the Wiz got 17 points in the 4th quarter.

If you're not trying to argue then maybe you should start by avoiding calling people 'dumb' when they're just responding to energy level.

Also, this is a pet peeve: comparing KG this year to KG in years past is pointless.  You evaluate play based on where you are, not where you were. Are KG and Pierce as explosive as they used to be? Of course not.  Are they still playing at a high level and putting up W's for the Celtics?  Yup.

Team bashing won't help either. Faith--its good to have it. The team won't play any different based on our bashing or pessimism...but faith and optimism can certainly make it more enjoyable and bearable when they play inconsistent.

I said the energy they were playing with is going to help them. The two players were clearly very emoitional and full of energy during that exchange. They cared. That will help them win games.

Please dont mix my words, and again, we get it. You like Ray Allen. You obviously dont even notice there are 4 other players on the court with him who abolutely shut down the Wiz defensively.

Including Paul Pierce who was playing D on Thornton for the 4th Q when he was practically invisible.

Garnett had a bad game but has been playing great over the last three weeks

30 MPG 17 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.44 BPG

He sure hasn't looked washed up to me

I know you're venting your frustration, but if you find watching the team to be such a form of torture...  why watch?  There have to be more enjoyable / less stressful hobbies, right?

Not only watch, but watch and post on a Celtics forum how much you dislike watching.

That being said, I took a 3 game break myself after the Nets game. That one really hurt.
