Derrick Mason has has missed 3 games in the last 10 years and averages 82 receptions and 1050 yards per season over those 10 years
Last year he had 73 receptions and 1028 yards
He's a great guy to have as a possession receiver and would be a bargain
I don't care how old he is he plays smart and tough and young
Someone could have said very similar stats about marvin harrison two years ago. Then he had one injury and was out of the league. In fact, he actually had much better ten year averages then mason. Find the receivers that have had productive years over the past ten years at age 37. Is possible he could have another good year, yeah but based on history and just common sense its not smart to commit a lot of money or hope to a 36 year old wide receiver. I would much rather have a guy that is closer to 30 or even under.
I said he would be a bargain
he won't cost a lot at all and would be a one year deal
I say develop Brandon Tate and Julius Edelman, sign Mason and draft Golden Tate
Moss, Aiken, Tate, Tate, Mason, Edelman, Welker
That's a great set of receivers IMO
