Danny's losing his mind ... I honestly didn't think it was possible for this team to become older ... he proved me wrong!

Has anyone noticed how WIDE open Daniels has been beyond the 3 point line since we got Nate?...and he stinks at shooting 3's...Finley can actually hit a 3.

We now have 3 guys from the 1995 Draft (KG, Sheed and Finley). Ray not that far away (1996). Too bad it's 2010.
The Immortals:

Iker Casillas, Giacinto Facchetti, Alessandro Nesta, Matthias Sammer, Javier Zanetti, Lothar Matthäus (c), Xavi, Zico, Maradona, Roberto Baggio, Ferenc Puskas, Karl Heinz Rummenigge

All positive. Great locker room guy, no promises of minutes, and is taking an open slot. Anything on court is a bonus. Additional insurance.

Would like to use the other open slot to sign a big man. Sheed likes to stay outside to shoot 3s. BBD lacks height. Still concerned over KG's knee - if we can lower his minutes the better. Perk has had shoulder injury issues. We just need someone who wants to win, can rebound, and play D. This person simply needs to be better than SW and Scal - should be able to find someone. :)

I like Finley. I wish him a wonderful and winning career in Boston. I know he's old but I have to love how committed the front office is to the vet initiative.
Seriously the team needs to get it together and win it all so they can serve as an inspiration for past-their-prime-written-off-as-washed-up-guys everywhere.

Mark Blount or Kenny Thomas or maybe Tony Battie (if he's bought out)?

I'm not sure where he finds minutes with this team.

Tony and Daniels seem to have the backup wing positions covered.

Daniels isn't losing any PT and Tony has been great this year.

finley has a valuable veteran experience that he offers, but i don't think this is a signing just for a "locker room presence."  this team doesn't need that.

he's being brought in, because deep down, the celtics do not trust tony allen...

so wait.  you  mean to tell me that in a pressure filled playoff atmosphere where players need to stay calm, need to make smart basketball plays, and keep their wits about them, Tony Allen isnt to be trusted?

Whats the world coming to.

I don't know if Finley will be a good contributor or not....but he certainly won't hurt this team in anyway.

TA's the likely minute-loser, as many have pointed out.  Does more shooting, less turnovers make-up for the loss in rebounding, steals, drawn fouls, and general defensive energy made by that switch?

As long as Doc is working 4 or 5 bench player units, I 'd prefer TA and Finley to Daniels/Finley.  I really like the Nate/TA pairing.  Their speed, energy and + rebounding are big lifts for a bench otherwise composed of slow and unathletic half-court types.  Daniels is the type of player who can disappear with an all bench line-up, especially if he doesn't have a small guard defending him in the post.  He's a much better player with passers like Rondo and Garnett who can reward his exceptional off-ball movement.

If we go to a pretty strict 8 man rotation in the playoffs, Daniels is probably the best option.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

For $300k, why not?

Even if he only hits one big shot for us, if it's a shot that wins a playoff game, then it's well worth it.

No, I don't think it does. TA is the better player. He offers more.

Finley should only play ahead of TA when his specific skill-set (shooting ability) is absolutely required.

Is he big enough to do Posey's role from two years ago?
