they aren't "bored".  They are just getting beat.   The "bored" thing is an excuse.

If they were looking for an excuse, wouldn't they start with PP and KG being constantly in and out of the lineup?
There's only so many times that excuse can be used

LA didn't use it when they were winning against good competition without Kobe

Portland didn't use it when they lost Oden, Outlaw and Przybilla and kept winning

Cleveland isn't going to use it when they keep winning without Shaq and Z

For a little while the injury and health card can be played but at some point it's man up and play or come up with another excuse

I think this is the next excuse
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

No, I think they are aware with how they lose focus and play worse at times--which doesn't fit with getting an absent teammate reintegrated.  What they are avoiding is the unfortunate conclusion that they might be undisciplined or lacking in mental toughness.  Boredom is an explanation to avoid that kind of conclusion.

I think it's mostly Perk who has become "Bored"....you can see it in his play--Probably fed up with getting hit with a Tech EVERY TIME he shows ANY Emotion----The League definitely has it out for him.....So, maybe he is waiting for the playoffs----doesn't wanna use up all his effort for this regular season garbage from the refs.

Yes, I am Blaming the refs for this---it's what I do.

Well, I do think they are bored a bit in games like Sunday's (and this was the case last year as well), but for the most part, I think that is just an excuse or rationalization, so they can keep their ego's afloat and not accept the fact that they just are not that good right now.

Totally agree.

I just hope they really don't believe all of what they are saying.  An excuse always lame but is more tolerable if you are not fully convinced of what you are saying.  If they really believe this, somebody ought to reigning down hellfire and brimstone on them in that lockerroom.

Ha!  At least you're taking responsibility for your blaming!

I believe Perkins is grasping at straws to find a reason why the Celtics can't beat the top teams anymore. The Celtics lost to the Nets after getting the life sucked out of them against the Cavs. No crazy, down on your hands, intense KG, no defense, no championship, not worth the effort of the players. Now maybe KG is saving himself for the playoffs so he doesn't get injured too early again like last year. I hope anyways. lol.
