I listened to Doc blame our loss on the "lack of energy" that our players were bringing in the second half and almost threw my remote at the television. Is he thick skulled enough to not realize that he played Rondo for over 45 minutes of that game?? The dude was gasping for air, and had obviously lost his legs by the second half.

The commentators were talking before, during, and after the game about how Rondo was what makes this team run, and he is the reason that our slow, aging big 3 gets open shots. Well, hate to break it to ya Doc, but Rondo is still as much of a human as you or I. We bring in Nate Robinson and Marquis Daniels so that we can give Rondo a breather during big games without shooting ourselves in the foot. What do we do instead? Play Tony, Nate, and Rondo on the floor at the same time (with short Baby at PF) against a tall and fast Cavaliers lineup! And Perk was playing excellent last night, in the meager 25 minutes that Doc gave him.

Am I saying what you think I am saying? Yes, I am. Doc is the one to blame for last night's loss. I've backed him and supported him through this whole season, turning a blind eye to his ignorance as a coach, but I can't do it anymore.

Oh, and don't bother bringing up the fact that "Pierce wasn't playing"...I'm well aware of that, and I'm well aware that we should have won that game with or without him.

Here's the box score:

There, I feel much better now that I got that off of my chest...eh, not really  :-\

So what about all those other collapses we had when we looked like we lacked energy

What about that New Orleans collapse when every starter but Ray played less than 30 minutes(he only played 34)

What about that Denver collapse in the first quarter when the starters were all in and rested

What about that Orlando collapse that took place right after halftime and not one starter had play 20 minutes yet

Do I have to continue

The collapses of this team have not been a 4th quarter only thing brought on by overplay through the games

The collapses of this team have occurred in just about every quarter of the game

It is an inherent flaw of the makeup of this team or the chemistry of this team

It could be through personnel makeup(Danny's fault), coaching use or preparation of the players(Doc's fault), the faltering games of the team's most important players(the players fault) or all of the above(everyone's fault)

I choose D all of the above

I choose D too. We have to get it together. Doc needs to just let Nate loose with that second unit. They always seem to play energy. It's the 1st unit that keeps letting us down. We brought Nate in for energy, just let him go. Having Rondo in there with him makes Nate a spot up shooter. It turns him into a poor man's Eddie House. Let him bust loose. Just give him the ball and control of that second unit and see what happens. If were not running we are losing so let's get going!

While I agree that Nate must be let go, let's be realistic, he doesn't know the offensive system and having him play the 2 guard with Rondo allows him to see how things should be run

Nate will be ready soon to take the reins but let's have some patience here

Giving him the keys to the car before he knows how to drive is not a good idea

I expected all along at least a five game break in period for Nate before he would be let loose

It's only been two games

Have some patience, please, the kid has to learn and adapt

I agree. I was happy with what he gave us last night. But I still think it will take time before we should just let him go.
