I've never really been a fan of Rivers, I disagree with a lot of his rotations and some of his play calls. With that being said, he's a player's coach. They stand up for him and respect him because of how respectful he is to the players. Had Sheed been playing for the Spurs or Lakers his minutes would have been on quite the decline, but not in Boston. Since the players love Doc, I really do see him sticking around, but I do not think an extension will be signed. He makes about 5.5 mil a year and next season will be he last season under contract, I think Ainge will just wait it out and even if the C's offer an extension, I feel as if Rivers will decline so he can be with his family more.
