I can't believe the way he coached tonight.  Running Rondo in the ground like that and leaving Nate on the bench.  I thought Nate was brought here to give Rondo a rest?  Just terrible coaching tonight.

I have began to think the players have just quit responding to Doc.

Doc is still a better coach than Mike Brown. That ain't saying much. Mike Brown is turrible.

He wanted to keep the game sped up by leaving Rondo in, but Sheed and Baby were so bad inside that we couldn't get good transition opportunities off of missed shots.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Terrible rotations tonight.  I know he was shorthanded, but some of those lineups were horrific, and he stuck with them way too long.

Tp I didn't understand it myself. Nate has to get a feel of the game by playing. he sat out all of the 3rd quarter, when he was inserted Rondo was still in there. What made it worse Nate created shots for others, but this isn't the Knicks roster full of shooters. Tony couldn't and can't shoot, rondo can't either. Nate should've been in with Ray and Marquis. Doc definitely screwed this game up. :(

Totally agree. Case in point: Nate drives and kicks out to Rondo for the wide open three. Airball.

No you can't blame this on just Baby and Sheed, KG was not even  responding in this game. Fact is they have not responded to Doc all year.

I don't know what it is, but I guess they just don't want to win. But I thought that was the coach's job to inspire and motivate his team.

Right.  They went to KG three straight possessions down the stretch, and he went 0-3, and drew no fouls, no offensive rebounds, etc.   That's always been the knock on KG as #1 offensive option:  post-fadeaways take you out of rebounding position and the other team never gets in foul trouble.

As soon as he said last week he needed to get Rondo more rest I knew Rondo would have a string of 40+ minute games coming up.

They knew in advance we'd be missing at least 1 SF the solution they came up with was play Rondo all game and give him stretches at the 2? My head hurts.

I think we are all used to bad rotations from doc but you hit it on head he stuck with them for too long tonight.  I actually think Perk needed to stay out there as he was doing a good job rebounding, I think he had 7 or so first 1/2 alone.  Also without shaq they don't have anyone in low post who can handle perk.  I like Varajeo (?) his energy etc but he's not a force like perk or any low post banger he's more quick & active type guy.
