I'd say you're overstating our weaknesses, but your entitled to your opinion. WIth Pierce and Daniels out the Cavs are by far the deeper team, in that department it's not even close.

But if Ray stays hot and KG continues to look spry(-ish), who knows. I still like the team's attitude far more than I liked it a few weeks ago, so I'm hopeful that they'll at least put up a valiant effort tonight.

  • Rondo = Good
We're going to need a big game from Nate Robinson.

Here's hoping he blocks Shaq again.

C's will not lose this game.
In Croatia it will be 2AM when game starts. I will watch on tv till 4.30AM and in 6AM go to work...I expect big night from Rondo, KG, Wallace and Tony Allen. I'm not so sure that Paul would sit...he's extremly motivated to play vs King so..."everything is possible".

The thing is, the keys to slowing Lebron in our defense is not really the guy checking Lebron.  It is the big men, who are blitzing him, and then the backside guys rotating quickly to the right men.

I actually feel very confident that if the bigs do their job, Scal can do as good a job against Lebron as just about anyone, because he can be physical with him, and know that he has help with Lebron's quickness.  Unfortunately, I am not that confident in the big men right now.

BINGO. This is absolutely what makes our defense so good. It is that wall behind the initial line of defense. The guys that really notice this are the color guys that were former coaches(or have had Thibs' service in the past) like JVG and Doug Collins.

I'm just not too sure why you aren't very confident in the big men right now. KG has been great with the help D as of late and Perk has only faulted against one team in the past 20 games: the Knicks. I can see if you're worried about Sheed, but Doc's subs tend to match the Cavs in terms of timing.

This is also shaping up like a trap game for a Cavs team that has been reeling a bit.

I really think the Cavs may be looking ahead to World Record Snuggie Night.

Seriously though, they're gonna come hard in this one no matter who's playing.  They don't like us very much, and with good cause.  But I think we'll come out strong as well.  Should be a fun game.

LOL so hard at that picture of Varejao in a snuggie. Classic

I will give so many TPs to anyone who can photoshop that Snuggie pic together with Ray Allen elbowing him in the jewels.

This game is setup for Celtics beat-down. Celtics aren't a good home team facing the best team in the NBA team. No Pierce and Possibly No Marquis. That's 18-25ppg missing on a team that struggles to score. Add the struggles from downtown, being last in the NBA Rebounds, and no go to scorer. And last but not least, Who the hell is going to stop Lebron from exploding on the Celtics? Absolutely no depth at the wing position. Lebron will go for the kill, and humiliate the Celtics on national TV.

Viewer Discretion Is Advised!!!

Nothing like covering your bases cause if you are wrong no one will care to remind you.

And that's not even getting into the actual points which are completely blown out of proportion.  TP for effort though.

The Cavs are still struggling to find their way following the addition of Antawn Jamison. Still learning how he fits in, how he changes the team, how others need to alter their play to make it work.

Cleveland isn't in top gear at the moment. They're not anywhere close to the team Boston will have to play and beat come playoff time.

If Pierce + Daniels were playing, the Celtics should have been strong favourites heading into tonight's game. Without them though, things will be very difficult.

What a brilliant business plan.

Make a product so stupid, that millions of people buy it to be ironic! Those snuggie people must be rolling in $.

Good opportunity for Rajon Rondo to have a magnificent game. No Pierce so he'll be allowed to control the ball for large portions of the match. The Cavs duo of Jamison + Shaq are poor defensively in the pick and roll and in transition and Mo Williams is a poor defender too.

Excellent opportunity for Rondo to put in a dominant performance.

Have no fear.  For those of us who got to see Gerald Green try and defend Kobe back in 2006-2007, could it really get any worse than that?

We beat the Cavs without KG last year, right?

I agree the odds are definitely in the Cavs' favor, but we've still go a chance.
I don't like only having one guy who can guard LeBron who'd normally be asked too.

We're going to see Ray Allen and Scalabrine try to check him, ugh....

We've got a shot but it's going to be tough.

I feel okay about Scal defending most small forwards but not LeBron. He is too quick and for Scalabrine.

It'll be interesting to see Tony Allen on LeBron though. He should do a good job on James out on the perimeter. It'll be interesting to see if LeBron takes him into the post or not.

Yeah he should have his way with cleveland's guards.  He is our ace in the hole against the elite teams of the league.  He needs to dominate all the match ups for us to be a legitimate contender.  And he really should.  None of the contenders has a PG in his league.

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

Is that just the Cavs trying to save a couple dollars on the heating bill?  Get everyone to come out in a Snuggie, then turn the themostat down ten degrees or so?

I hear Cavs fans amongst themselves really talk down their backcourt. Hopefully Nate and Rondo will have their way with the Cavs guards.

Tony will not let Lebron fly to the cup like he's used to.

Jamison will throw up bricks against us.
