Well Barkley just called Lebron the best player in the NBA.

I agree.

Kobe doesn't keep the rim as easily as he used to so I have to agree as well.

I think Lebron is better.  Once Lebron develops that constant jumper, its game over.

Charles Barkley: "I guarantee Cavaliers come back to win this."

I hope you like the taste of being horribly wrong, Sir Charles..

It won't be the first time he has been wrong when it comes to the C's.

Rondo does not need to have the ball in his hands at the end of quarters...ever again!

He's starting to do that a lot...just keeping the ball in his hands, and wasting the time down to the point where the only thing he can do is take a contested jumpshot.

I'm getting tired of him wasting valuable possessions like that.
I kind of like it. Looks like he's practicing on them or something. It's not a skill you just acquire, it's something that grows on ya.

Yes its something that doesn't come naturally, but when you have a guy like Ray Allen on your team, i dont see how you refrain from looking for him at end of quarter situations. I would want that assist.

Also, I'm fine with Rondo doing that, but only if we are up by like 15 points, and if its not a big game or important game. If he wants to practice those, he can practice during practice. or agains the Nets or T-wolves or somebody.

Celtics just need to run their regular offensive sets at the end of quarters.  Not sure why they continually resort to standing around with Rondo waiting until it's too late to find an open man and forces up a terrible shot.  There has to be a better play the C's can come up with instead of repeating the same one that didn't come close to working in the first quarter.

THis is not a new problem.  And its on Doc.
Celtics fan for life.

I think it already is game over except Kobe has the rings so that is why people even keep him in the coversation.

I'm going to guess that an NBA employee told the networks to start interviewing Rondo when the Celtics are on nationally televised games so he can get more attention as a rising star. Either that or everyone has just realized how [dang] good the kid is.

okay, so the Travel on KG early was questionable--the travel on TA was NOT a travel...They missed an OBVIOUS Palming on Mo Williams early...and called NO fouls on Varejao while he constantly pushed on KG and Rasheed--------KEEPING Clev close enough to strike in the second half----MARK MY WORDS...it WILL happen.

NOW, we DO have something to Beat Clev this year...TWO fast PG's....Clev can NOT stop these guys---Doc has to realize this and keep attacking-!!!

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Imagine if Pierce decided to play-off the ball and cut like Daniels.

Our offense with the starters would be tops in the league.

Exactly. Kobe has the hardward so people keep pushing him as the new MJ. He's good but get outta here. As much as I don't like LBJ for being a Cav, he's already surpassed Kobe and he's only 25. Not even in his prime yet.

Watch the first 2 rounds of last years playoffs. Kobe is smart and he saves his best for April. Kobe>Lebron

Sorry, but give Lebron Gasol, Bynum, and Odom and he wins 70 regular season games.

So far, so good.  Even if they lose, I think guys like Rondo, Ray, and Rasheed are proving that if they're on their game with a healthy Pierce, this team can still win it all.  Still a big IF though.

I love that Rondo is attacking the rim.  He should start every game like that.  Make the other team adjust to him and then get everyone else going.  While Rondo may be physically out-muscled by other teams, he should ALWAYS make the other point guard a defensive liability with his speed.

As for Ray, what can I say, I hate to say I told you so, but seriously, how could anyone in their right mind not think that Ray wasn't going to eventually hit his stride?  I'm with everyone who thinks he might be a step slow; however, we're talking about arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history.  There was no way that he was going to continue his shooting woes over 82 games.

As for the Shaq injury, all I can say is "about time!"  For all the griping on this board about the C's age and the injuries that come along with it, it's about time Cleveland got hit with the injury bug.  Yes, LeBron is young, but they're very vulnerable too.  They're a Shaq (and maybe a Jamison) injury from being a second round departure too.
