But not because I don't like change... I liked being able to separate the News Feed from Status Updates and not having that option makes it all a jumbled mess to me.

Unless I find a solution to this problem I'm leaning towards peacing out and going to Twitter.

It's fine. With every update come the complaints, but then everyone gets used to it. And then with another update come the complaints again, but still we adjust. See a pattern? It'll be fine.

Social networking kind of stinks these days. I get so many friend requests from people I don't know or don't talk to much far too often. It's annoying.

I pretty much only use Myspace to see who's playing shows near me these days. The occasional comment here and there, that's about it.

And off topic, sort of.. What is it with kid's and texting these days? I'm 18, but I really don't get the point. If you have a phone in your hand and you're able to talk, isn't it easier to just.. you know, actually call the person you want to talk to?

I like texting because you DON'T have to call. If the message isn't that important, or if its just a reminder, or if its just a stupid joke, you don't have to bother people in their day, and they can read and respond on their own time.

Lot less awkward too.  Say you met a girl out at a party last night, lot of drinking involved.  Instead of making that awkward next day phone call you can shoot her a quick text instead.
do it

While I also prefer seeing everything, is it really that big of a deal?

I haven't checked all the customization options.

I find Facebook growing amongst my friends and family members and I find myself using it less often.

The worst part about texting? Text fights. An argument with a spouse or sig. other gets so drawn out you can actually continue the argument during work or school when before texting, the argument would get put on hold for 6-8 hours. Pre-text during that time of reflection, both parties can reach a point of agreement. Now, the fight just continues and no one has time to think to themselves unless that stupid phone is OFF. Text fights are dangerous and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Actually, I figured out how to only view status updates so it's no longer an issue. Although it's still annoying is will no longer default.
