Gotta agree I cant stand them, funny thing is im sure they cant stand the c's either and look at us as a rival  ::)

Yesterday on NBA TV they interviewed Al Horford and he was saying were not quite there yet as GOOD AS THOSE 3 top teams referring to cavs, magic and lakers im assuming, leaving us out like yea we sweeped them. Its all good though we thrive on being underdogs with Nate in rotation and KG and Ray coming around well knock em out the playoffs AGAIN and let that do the talking.
Its almost like fools gold,Al Horford especially, and the NBA.tv staff which is based in the ATL are fooling themselves into thinking because they beat the C's in the regular season they will automatically do the same in the playoffs. If the C's are fully healthy and focused they would beat the Hawks in the playoffs.tp
Eh, by the same token, I think a lot of C's fans assume that since we beat ATL in the playoffs a couple years ago, we'll do it again this year. I think this year's regular season series against ATL is more relevant that past playoff success against them. That said, despite the regular season results, I am optimistic that we could beat them in the playoffs. But it's hardly a guarantee...

It's not just the series against the Hawks two years ago - Chicago last season as well.  We struggle against young, athletic teams.  That's proven to be the case even more dramatically this regular season.  They've matched up very well against us in recent seasons, and we're getting older and less athletic while they're getting more confident and more experienced.

I'd say it's pretty close to 50/50 who wins a seven-game series, and given that we're likely to be on the road...  that might be optimistic.

yea they swept us but they had 1 legit win against us... sheed missed 1 game kg missed 3... beating the celtics without kg is nothing ask the clips and warriors lol

Come on man! That sheed game should be even more impressive. Especially earlier in the season when he was fat and out of shape!

You know what forget what I just said it's not worth it.  I'm just glad to see that you believe in the C's again Budweiser.

Even though just the other day I remember you saying that your dark horse pick the Atlanta Hawks would win the East, coincidentally.

I highly doubt it that I said that. If anything I said that the Bobcats could be a dangerous team during the playoffs.

If the C's can't get up for the Hawks, they don't deserve the title, this is a team you need to acknowledge as a true rival at this point, and then do all you can to suck the soul out of

The only thing that worries me about the Hawks is the Celtics coming to play. The Hawks always play the hardest against us, and that's what can really hurts the Celtics. But it's the playoffs, and if you don't come to play hard then you deserve a turd for dinner.

You can talk about being athletic, and how much problems they bring... but it's really the energy the kills us and their determination to beat the big bad Celts.

I thought you said that too! It's going to kill me not knowing who really did say it now.

That being said you have to admit the hawks have added firepower as well as added experience and could make a strong playoff push.

That being said the Celtics should be extra motivated after going 0-4 against them in the regular season. The Hawks might actually come in overconfident and complacent for the first couple of games if we were to play them.

I know Brickowski is always saying that Atlanta is going to win the East.

I would prefer not to play the Hawks, but think it is important to note that the C's winning the Atlantic Division does not guarantee the third seed. Seeding is now completely based on W-L percentage so if they win the Atlantic, but have the 4th best win loss, then the 4th seed it will be.

Chances are Boston and Orlando have 2 and 3 locked between them, so the only way we see Atlanta in the playoffs is if Cleveland loses to Atlanta.

I'd rather face Atlanta than Cleveland to be honest with you. Bibby is sooo washed up Rondo would dance circles around his old corpse.

Too bad Rondo's sooo unaggressive when he goes up against an old point guard.

Budweiser I completely apologize.  It wasn't you it was Brickowski.  I should not accused you of that I accidently got mixed up with the names.  I believe it would be a close series but we would come out on top in 6 or 7 games.

It was Brickowski.  Sorry again Budweiser.  I don't even know why I got the names mixed up.

Division winners get the top 3 seeds.

But not home court, only if they have the better record.
