we need to sit Pierce until we play cleveland thursday

Or even longer if need be.

I'm really confused with Pierce right now... I don't know if it's a matter of injury/fatigue or if we're witnessing one of the biggest declines an all star player has ever had... ::)

i cant fault baby...he is the only guy rebounding...bottom line is you cant get down 22 in the first quarter on the road vs a good team

Yeah, even a decent first quarter probably would of won this game. Or maybe not, but we wouldn't of had to put so much effort into cutting the lead.

Oh well, very good road trip still.

I'd say good road trip.  Would have been very good if they won and could have been a season changer.

Well, for how they've been playing the last 2 months, I still think it was a succesful road trip. Haven't they gone like 1-3 or 0-4 on these road trips the last few years?

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Didn't Perk have 5 fouls?  That really hurt.

and only 4 rebounds...

The boys played their guts out for 48 minutes. Tough loss, but the effort was there.

I wouldn't say 48 minutes they looked completely awful in the first quater.

This is the kind of loss I truly hoped we'd put in the past. Shooting ourselves in the foot in the 1st quarter then trying hard but failing to dig ourselves out of the hole. If we played the 1st quarter like we did the rest we'd have been in a good position to win.

Shelden sighting!!! :o :o

Well, I was a little bit disappointed by the loss because we made our way back into the game for 20 seconds when we tied it, to finally lose it badly. The screw job done by the refs is frustrating too.

But it's OK, the Celtics played with heart and hustle. They finish the road trip 3-1, it's very good.

Too many minutes for Ray tonight. My only concern is that Paul looks worse and worse every game... and he won't accept to get a few games off to rest. Let's hope he heals up quickly because he is hurting himself, and his team by playing through injuries.

Nate's debut on Tuesday will be much needed!

Congrats to the Nuggets by the way, I really like this team, and if they can get more of a "warrior" team on the road, I just don't see the Lakers winning in the playoffs against them. Too much toughness and talent.

Overall a successful road trip. Disappointing we couldn't overtake the Nuggets today, but they're a very good team, and our schedule the next few weeks is very favorable. Let's try to take all three at home. Big one on Thursday, go Celts!

I think the effort was there in the first. Denver is able to put up points in a hurry, and i wasn't surprised at what they did in the first. I credit the Celts for adjusting, but i do think the effort was there from the opening tip. I never felt like they were playing lazy basketball today.

on PP

1. his knee thing looks to be serious. i don't think it was just a drainage

2. the ankle/foot prolly was a pretty bad sprain

3. now the thumb

i think pierce is just simply hurt..and he is just trying to play through all of these...but there is no way he can contribute like this. it is time to sit him...start daniels
