Too many FT attempts by our opponents the past 3 games.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Its ok, i rarely say this, but the celtics are playing with house money right now. Going 3-1 this trip, KG looking good, coming back down 20 on the road. Lot more positives then negatives right now. Especially when you consider how we looked before the break.

Why does Davis become the scapegoat? He has been our best bench player for a few weeks now.

ummmm no

You make a great argument there.

I think it is because 25 percent of the shots he takes get blocked. The guy rarely finished around the rim, so despite all of the hustle, he just cannot get the ball in the basket.

I'd say a significant number of those shots are off of offensive rebounds, which is interesting because he is the only guy on this team that gets offensive rebounds.

As was said before, how useful is an offensive rebound if you're just gonna get stuffed?

And keeps dropping rebounds and gets stripped dribbling inside..

Doesn't get stuffed on 100% of the rebounds.

Alright everyone needs to stop with the Pierce bashing. He should be in this game right now, plain and simple. I am so sick of Doc playing the starts  together in the 4th quarter for the last 6 minutes... and everyone wonders why we're blowing all these leads late in games...

Bingo. Offensive rebounds are completely useless if you go up, get blocked, and turn the ball back over.

Flashes of sobriety, though.

I don't feel like quoting 1 of the 20 people talking about Big Baby right now... so I'm just going to throw my opinion out there.

He was good in the Orlando series last year and while he was filling in for KG at the end of the regular season. He was good because he was getting wide open jumpers because his jumper wasn't in team's scouting reports. He was also in the best shape of his NBA career.

Now, he has put his weight back on. He gets blocked on 25% of his shots. All this, after he just signed a contract. He is essentially Mark Blount. I dislike him very much. If he had any work ethic at all he would get back in shape. He's a bum.

I don't think he's a scapegoat for the team, he's just a frustrating player.  He does some things well but turns the ball over a lot and persists in challenging shot blockers when he has no place doing it. I won't knock his effort, but he could be a lot more disciplined.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."
