In the playoffs you basically only have 2 wing players coming off the bench for any sort of significant minutes.

We have Nate and Quis who are high quality bench players.

In the championship run our 2 wing players were House and Posey who combined for a total of 9 points a game. As long as Quis and Nate can play good defense, our perimeter bench players will be fine.

I don't agree with this at all to be honest.  Yes, your bench gets shortened in the playoffs but you don't always get to bring in a player who gets bought out like Mike Miller who would be a starter on three quarters of the teams in this league.

Exactly. We dont get to. He's not getting bought out.

Having him off the bench would be a luxury, not a necessity. Our bench is fine as constructed and I can see Nate, Quis, and TA (if he keeps TOs down) coming up big in the playoffs in limited minutes.

You're right he probably is not going to get bought out but anything to make us better is a necessity (even though I still believe we can win it constructed the way we are).

I doubt but I wouldn't rule it out altogether.

There is a small chance that Washington buys out Miller for the reasons already mentioned in the thread.

Although, I think if they truly wanted to get him off the team they would have traded him prior to the deadline for comparable expiring contracts + one smallish asset. It didn't appear that they made any effort to do so, so, I expect him to stay in Washington for the remainder of the season.
