You would think that a better bench coupled with the improvements of Rondo and Perk would offset the decline of the big 3...we'll see...

The Million $ Question.  It boils down to Pierce and KG being healthy. Ainge has done his job, and upgraded the bench from last season. Now its Doc's turn to Coach.

I hate the Cavs

I just think they got better and are already the best so far this year

I live and die by the C's but just don't see it happening this year

I'll cheer them on every game, just don't see it this year

Actually if you combine their 07-08 playoff numbers...
Posey (6.7 ppg, 22 minutes)
House (2.5 ppg, 8 minutes)
Powe (5 ppg, 12 minutes)
...combined for LESS THAN 15 POINTS in 42 MINUTES PER GAME.

Pretty sure Nate and Rasheed will get 20 PPG between them in the playoffs no problem.

Not sure about that.

We'll probably have problems against both Clev. and Atl., but think we matchup really well against Orlando since they no longer have Turk and we do a great job against Howard.

Cleveland matches up poorly vs the Magic, but look good vs us and could probably sweep Atl.

Atlanta will struggle against Magic and Cavs, but could potentially best us in a series.

Playoff seedings are probably going to make a big difference this yr.

Somehow KG's health has gotten lost in shuffle. If he is healthy they could ride out any Ray Allen shooting slump.

Im still holding out hope that he will get better. As soon as I see him start catching lobs and blocking shots again, I will be a lot more optimistic.

You forgot Big Z who supposedly is going to get bought out and return to the Cavs in 30 days.

Because of the Jamison move, I don't know about the Cavs. Before the move I'd have said the Celtics > Cavs in a series.

Thankfully we can beat Orlando and push against Atlanta in a 7-game series.

Hopefully we face Orlando with a relatively healthy KG in the Conf. Finals.

There is no way this bench is better than the championship team's bench.  Posey alone was a huge key to the championship.  Clutch 3's, backing up almost every position, big steals and tough defense.  I don't care about their scoring averages when I think about Posey.  This team is not good enough to win this year.  I think the reason everyone is writing off KG is because he looks terrible and cannot move.  I don't give him much of chance of becoming anything close to the KG of old.

By the way, if you ask me if I want the Posey of 2008, or the Sheed and Quis of 2010, it's a no-brainer - Posey by a landslide, especially with the starters we have.
