I hope the Heat should do something. Amar'e and Boozer are both expiring so it's not high risk and judging by how it goes they can re-sign or write off a guy they've already tried out.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

or you can just wait for the offseason and sign Amare (if opt out) and give up nothing--- heat are going nowhere this year anyhow

Correct seems like the more plausible outcome.

Isn't that one of those totally unreliable sites?

Lol, yeah. But you throw enough crap around, one is bound to stick somewhere.

I guess there won't be an Amare trade, which seems dumb to me; it could have helped both teams.

I can understand Miami's hesitance to give up Beasley and a Pick.
Agreed -- no need to force a move today when you are still able to make your move in the summer. Either through free agency for LeBron, Bosh, JJ or Amare himself. Or by making the same trade for Amare in the summer if the other options fall through.

I'd rather wait and let the summer play out than give up Beasley today.

That is far as Amare Stoudemire is concerned, if it were Chris Bosh? No problems giving up Beasley whatsoever. Make that deal right now.
