I think the Celtics lack of movement before the trade deadline says one thing: ownership was totally unwilling to take on long term money this season, probably because of the uncertainty surrounding KG's health. Why take a huge financial burden on when there's no certainty that the key player on the team will even be playing at a high level come playoff time?
Much safer just to play it safe and place your hopes on the 1% chance that the team can win as currently constructed.
