When there is enough outrage by the public to force their hands. Considering the second best player on last years Eastern Conference Champs got suspended for PED's, and it barely registered on the radar, I think there is a long way to go before people start paying attention.
Stern is a master of spin, and sweeping things under the rug. As long as he is in charge, I think Lebron (not to mention Perk and Rondo) will be fine.
Take this for what it's worth, but when Rashard Lewis was discussed on First Take like before the NBA season or whenever, Skip Bayless said the substance in question isn't banned in MLB, was honestly shocked the NBA bans it, and that even he's taken it since it's usually taken by older guys (why he does I forgot). The other guy Skip was debating with said that he used (uses?) the substance in question too. Shame I forgot the name. : \
Personally, I saw this as a non-issue. At worst, I can only wonder since the MLB doesn't ban it, should I worry that a lotta players in MLB uses said substance just cause the NBA banned it?
As far as I see, the NBA has little to worry about. I mean, if I'm supposed to believe Rondo or Lebron are on steroids just cause they're jacked, then I think it's a bad precedent for players who'd want to workout but fear they'll be accused of steroids if they get
too jacked. I wasn't a fan on how people handled Barry Bonds on this issue, and I was just wishing they'd prove he did it, already. God Bless the NBA if they don't go down this road, too.
