It's apples and oranges.  Diaw can defend on the wing.  Sheed can't.  The trade would mean more minutes for Davis, who is an excellent post defender.  Also, when is the last time you saw Sheed get up the floor on a fast break?

As for Diaw's "horrible contract," there are only two years remaining after this one.  It expires when Garnett's deal expires.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Is anyone else a bit bothered by the "danny is happy with this team as is..." idea?  now, i realize he cannot lambaste this team publicly...

...but, if he can't see the flaws and deficiencies on this team then i'm a bit concerned.  it's obvious this team cannot win a title as currently constituted.

but i really believe that in the end danny will do nothing, and the ship will go down.  if the window is closing, then he'd better wake up and do something because this team needs an injection of something to help them...

Another trade with Charlotte I'd like to see happen is Diaw and Augustin for Wallace, Scalabrine and House.  Unfortunately, it won't.
That is an excellent trade. I would love to see Diaw here. He'd give the frontline an array of options. Go big with him at SF. Let him play his natural position at PF. Or go small with him at C. Nice.

The trade would mean more minutes for Davis, who is an excellent post defender.  expires.
Nice -- Glen Davis gets to play his proper position (backup center) again. A place where he is a positive role player.
