It works in the ESPN Trade Machine, but the link isn't working for some reason:

Boston Trades:    Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace
Boston Gets:      Josh Howard, Beno Udrih, Drew Gooden

Charlotte Trades: Nazr Mohammed
Charlotte Gets:   Rasheed Wallace

Sacramento Trades:
  Beno Udrih
Sacramento Gets:    Nazr Mohammed

Dallas Trades:
Josh Howard, Drew Gooden
Dallas gets:    Ray Allen

Why it works for Boston:

Gooden would replace Wallace in the rotation.  Gooden will stay in the paint, post-up, and get rebounds. In addition,  Gooden is in the final year of his contract, so the C's won't have to worry about having a fat, lazy Wallace on the books for two additional years after this season.

Udrih has a bad contract, but he can be a solid back-up to Rondo over the next few years and provide some offense off the bench as he has a good jump shot and can score off pick and rolls.  He can also play a little shooting guard.

Josh Howard is a tremendous athlete who can play real solid defense and rebound well.  The only problem is that he is a true small forward and he won't match-up well with Joe Johnson if the C's play the Hawks in the playoffs.  The C's could spin Howard for a true shooting guard or only ask Howard to play 25-30 minutes a game and spell him with Daniels, House, and Udrih.

Why it works for Charlotte:

Simply, Wallace is a lot better player than Mohammed and the Bobcats could use the help as they head toward the playoffs.  Larry Brown would love to have Rasheed because he would compliment Chandler and Diaw well in the Cats offense.  Rasheed's contract is only one year longer than Nazr's.

Why it works for Sacramento:
Udrih is a bad contract and it is known that the Kings really want a big man to add to their rotation.  The Kings aren't going anywhere this year and  Nazr will be an ever-so-valuable expiring contract next year.

Why it works for Dallas:
With the addition of Shawn Marion in the off-season Josh Howard is no longer a big part of the rotation. Drew Gooden doesn't see much floor time either these days backing up Nowitzki and Dampier.  Marion and Tim Thomas can also play Power Forward, so Gooden truly is expendable if the Mavs can get someone like Ray Allen to come in and play 30 minutes a night along side Jason Kidd and Jason Terry.  The Mavs are going for it all this year and Allen fills out that rotation nicely.

Sooooo.  In short:  Charlotte wants to add $7m to their books in 2012 for a guy who's 'fat and lazy' now, right?

  • Rondo = Good
No.

Dallas doesn't like Josh Howard at SG, why would we?
