That said, I think a lot of the "selfishness" Rondo alluded to in his comments last week has to do with our bigs - probably not KG but Perk, Sheed, and Baby.  I think the younger bigs are a little jealous of the role and attention Sheed gets, especially when his effort is inconsistent at best.  Baby and Perk are almost certainly thinking about their next contracts, and Baby does have a point - the last few games he's played very well and been a big asset off the bench, but he's still behind Sheed in the rotation and likely to stay there. 

Bingo.  I think this is the biggest problem with our team right now.  We've got those two, along with Tony, Scal, Eddie and Ray who are all on the last year of their contract. 

Unfortunetely for all of us, UBUNTU is taking a back seat to $$ this year...  As if these guys don't have enough

I hope Doc is listening. Baby should be the first big off the bench. Baby can score in varies ways, even if he gets his shot blocked. He is still aggressive. And you can't measure hustle and energy. On the other hand, Sheed is bring the team down with his lazy play.

That is awful.

What is interesting is how he succeded last year buy growing into a useful pick and pop player.  If he just focused more on that. he'd be so much more useful offensively.  He is herky jerky enough that it would not cut into his foul drawing ability.  He seems to have regressed a bit in that this year.

  I think the worst I saw from last year was about 20% of their close shots blocked. It's actually beyond awful.

Like it matters what his % of getting blocked is.  He's still better than anyone not named wallace on the bench and most cases even better than him.  But he doesn't get shot blocked so he's got that going for him...

Until he can finish, no more minutes. Tough to play a unathletic big who plays under the rim.

Hey, Ray can't make a three these days, but he still gets 40 minutes.

Ray getting 40 minutes is probably one of the reasons he's struggling somewhat.

My hope is that with Daniels coming back Ray can get back down to 35 minutes a game.

He's playing 36 now.  There is no magic pill for being done.

I'd like to see him playing 26.  (But I'd still like to see him taking the last shot.)

Do you think Ray can be talked into playing just 26 min or a 6th man role because if so I agree.  I also have no problem with him taking the last shot. 

Well, I don't see him liking it, but if Doc explains that it's for the good of the team, Ray has no choice but to go along with it.  Playing time is Doc's decision.  (However, I don't see Doc doing it.  He may be a good preacher, teacher, communicator and motivator, but I don't see him as a shaker-upper.  And that's what we need right now.)
