Why for the C's: They add a post-up option to bail out their stuttering offense in Kaman and a rebounder/shotblocker off the bench in Camby.  Most importantly they add a young 2-guard who can score and shoot in Gordon.  Telfair's there to take salary off the Clippers.

Why for the Clips: They kick off enough salary to free up a max salary slot and more, while adding a cheap young piece in Perkins.  The location and the core of Davis, Griffin and Perk, should make them a hot destination for swingmen.

Clips give up the two best players in the trade.  They already have a fair amount of cap space and they aren't exactly a hot free agent destination as long as they are owned by David Sterling.

The centerpiece of the trade, in my mind, is the big men swap.  I'm not much of a fan of Gordon, but he's the only quality two guard on the Clippers roster.

Love this deal for Boston - young stud shooting guard, two good post players for an old fading shooting guard and one good post player.

From the Clips' perspective, in addition to the solid core and cap space, they would add their own top 5 loto pick. Right now, they are looking at 10-12. Add Evan Turner, Al-Farouq Aminu or Wesley Johnson to that core and you really have something.
