There would need to be 3 teams involved: The Kings, 76ers and Celtics.

Celtics send: Wallace, Scal, Hoouse and Giddens to the 76ers.
Celtics Receive: Kevin Martin

76ers Send: Delembart to the Kings
76ers receive: Wallace, Scal, Hoouse and Giddens.

Kings send: Kevin Martin
Kings receive: Dalembart

For the...

Celtics, they get their player for now and later and avoid giving up Ray Allen who could then be our 6th man.

76ers, they slice payroll and bring back a hometown guy who could start at PF or C.

Kings, they get their Center and a shorter contract commitment.

If the 76ers could have gotten Martin straight up for Martin, they would have done it.  Martin/AI2 is a playoff team in the East.

By all accounts, 76ers are in the market for another SG or SF as they are a roster full of them.

Lemme guess, I'm gonna ask why you want to trade Sheed, you'll say he stinks, but claim the 76ers will want him regardless. Right?

Just stop. We need more big men as it is, anyways.

any team in the league could have delambert right this second for expiring contracts, and could probably demand a pick in the process.

k-mart is a desired asset that multiple teams are chasing.

so....

Ray Allen for K-Mart seems more realistic everyday. 8 )

i'm aware the kings like him.

the sixers have tried to trade him to every team in the league for simple salary relief -- petrie is smart enough to know that.

you think the kings will offer their best asset for him, when they have no reason to at all?

you actually buy the fact that someone will take rasheed wallace -- complete with his bad attitude and 3 year deal -- onto a rebuilding team in the process?

think that team would rather pay wallace than have an excellent young shooting guard, if sac were drunk enough to do this deal?

As ssspence says, the Kings can get Dalembert for a much cheaper price than Kevin Martin  - and the 76ers can probably trade him without taking Wallace's contract.

Bad deal for those 2 teams.

It depends, I do think the Kings are looking to hand the franchise over to Evans and need a Center. With the new CBA structure looming the market isn't too big for Martin who's contract requires a long commitment. Who outside of Dallas is interested?

Rasheed could be a bridge player for a couple seasons and then become a tradable asset (asset based on the soft cap system anyway). His contract is not that unreasonable (2 year P option on 3), and the 6ers want to cut payroll now. Plus, he's a big guy that can't be left open on the perimeter and that will help Brand.

sorry man -- just telling you you're misundestanding the realistic trade value of the players involved, and i'll leave it at that.

If he was all of the above things, then the celtics would be a far better team than they are right now.

Teams are finding it quite acceptable to leave him open on the perimeter, for one thing.

Perhaps, I could be getting too caught up in the numbers and not looking at the talent enough. Or, maybe there's a little overvaluing on your part with a frequently injured large contract in Martin.

Nevertheless, I'd like to see Danny explore moving Rasheed with expirings rather than Ray. Although I understand it's a less attractive offer.
