After getting outscored 36-11 (unblankin'believabe)in the latest 3rd quarter collapse, how can even the most ardent proponents of the "stay the course", "please don't trade Ray, he's our best chance of winning this year" strategy not believe that this roster needs a huge shakeup to have a chance of winning this year.
This team has no hunger and no fire. They are listless and lifeless. The only way that this team has a shot this year is a major shakeup with an infusion of new blood. Ray is our ticket to get that new blood. How well he is or isn't playing is irrelevant. How good or how bad his defense is is irrelevant. Whether he is one of the problems or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is that he alone can (by far) fetch the most talent. Unless we get that new blood, those fresh legs, those younger bodies who are hungry and are competitors, we have no chance this year or anytime in our two more years of KG et al. Why do so many posters refuse to admit and acknowledge this.
Even if the Cs were to come back from the newest 3rd quarter debacle and make a game of it or even win, that oh so familiar 3rd quarter collapse should not be swept under the rug, although some will attempt to do so. It is symptomatic of a very fundamental lack of hunger this year that permeates this ball club and needs to be addressed: with new blood and new bodies.
Sometimes change needs to be effectuated for change's sake. Trade Ray, and while you're at it, trade that poor excuse for a combo? guard, Eddie House.
