Smart foul Paul. Good to see Rondo came to play, too bad no one else did.

Today will mark the ninth double digit lead the team has turned into a loss this year. Unfathomable, really.

I feel like this season really just comes down to one question, Is this as good as KG is gonna get? If he cant get back to his dominate self, we might need to get used to being a very good but not quite elite team.

Great shot by Rondo.  Too little, too late, but this has been a good fourth quarter.

Like I said, my "positive spin" is at least we don't have to watch the Celtics squander a lead going into the fourth.

Nice that the "kick out to Rondo open on the wing" is now a legitimate option, at least.

still can't get over that no call on Howard when Ray went to the basket. Howard should have been on the bench with 6, Ray at the line with 2, and the celtics down 8 with 4:30 to go . total garbage!!!

i like the hustle they've shown in this quarter, but their offense still looks terrible...

Fathomable for a .500 team?  Certainly.  Fathomable for a lottery-bound team?  Yes.  Indeed, expected.  The Nets have given up many leads in their run into infamy.  But fathomable for a "contender"?  No.  Not at all.

I would be very interested to see if any team that's made it to the Finals has ever shown such a prodigious ability to squander leads during the regular season.

They turned into the Pistons.  That's not necessarily the best team to emulate, since their strategy of taking it easy in the regular season never seemed to do much for them.

same ol' story

a) they won a title and no longer have the same hunger for a title

b) they got older

c) they lost key bench players and never really replaced them
