Well, I'm glad the Celtics' play that quarter made at least a few people happy, as they wear themselves out patting themselves on the back, saying what a terrible team we have.

roy -- sorry, but this team is not championship caliber. Are you happy with the way they are playing?

They played poorly in the third quarter.  However, I'm not going to ever be one of those fans who makes it their sole goal to whine and complain, and seemingly revel in the team's misfortunes.

Certain fans take no pleasure when the team is playing well, but they linger until the team starts to perform poorly, when they come out of the proverbial woodwork.

How anybody can enjoy seeing the Celts play terribly is beyond me, but for a few folks, they're enjoying this.

who is enjoying this choke job? anyone? it is frustrating and disgusting...packing for the draft...nope...but my expectations for this team have certainly been lowered

We have certain fans on here who enjoy baiting and trolling when the team's fortunes take a turn for the worse.  In my mind, there's really no disputing that.  Certain people enjoy reveling in our failures, like pigs in mud.

In my opinion, you're the only trolling and baiting in this thread - in fact, you've done little else since the half-time.

Accusing the others of enjoying the misfortunes of the team is in very poor taste. I'm not particularly into complaining, whining or emotional reactions in toto, positive or negative, but there's certainly nothing odd, weird or inherently bad about it - it's the way a large share of the fans behave.

I am not enjoying this, Roy, but this is likely the most embarrassing game this team has played in the big 3 era.

this game may seal the deal on some kind of trade - we cannot go on like this - this team needs a shake-up.

the real disappointment this year is what a mistake signing rasheed wallace has turned out to be - i know, looking back is 20/20 and all, but for that MLE money, they could have gotten younger, more consistent role players instead of that lazy blob who's out there collecting paychecks.

Accusing the others of enjoying the misfortunes of the team is in very poor taste.

I'm not accusing "the others".  I'm accusing certain others.  You're entitled to your opinion, but mine is that there's nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade.  I'm sure the realists would agree.

I love this team.  But we stink.

During our championship season there was no point--not even a quarter--when our defense was this bad.  Jason Williams and JJ Reddick are not Dwayne Wade!  These guys should not be getting to the hoop on us, ever.  If guys like that can drive to the basket and make layups it means one thing, that you are bad at defense.  I don't know exactly why it happened, but game after game this is what happens.

Everyone talks like we are defensive juggernauts because of what happened two years ago, but that team is gone.  When we win this year it isn't because of our defense, it is because rondo is becoming one of the best floor generals in the nba.  But he can't do it every night, and when he isn't dominating the game our defense just isn't there to back him up.

Says a lot when each successive loss feels like a huge embarrassment.  This team just can't get anything going.
