I would send BBD or TA to philly depending on if we get Nocioni or Garcia .

BBD or TA + 1st rd(top 10 protected) to philly

Maybe Sac sends back a future lottery protected 1st rd pick to philly.

Bos sends:Ray, BBD or TA, 1ST RD(top ten protected)
Bos gets: Martin, Noicioni or Garcia

Sac sends: Martin, Garcia or Nocioni + future
                  1st(lottery protected ), Thomas
Sac gets : Iggy, Dalembert

Philly sends: Iggy, Dalembert
Philly gets:  Ray,Thomas, 2 1st rd picks, BBD or TA

My mistake. I missed the Francisco Garcia part. More money going out than coming in.

So the Kings would have = Iggy + Noce (2012) + Dalembert (2011) + Udrih + Evans + Thompson + some rookie contracts on the books ... okay.

Edit: Around $50 million in 2010 free agency + $40 million in 2011 free agency. In the meantime, the team should play above .500 basketball post trade and finish with a high lottery pick this season and possibly next season.

right. they use martin to get rid of one of their myriad swingmen contracts. they roll with udrih, evans, iggy, thompson and delambert, with rodriguez, garcia or noce, casspi and hawes off the bench. pretty nice squad. are they a playoff team? they either keep sam d next year, or trade him for shooting. that's pretty good value for martin considering the contract they dump.

Here's what I don't understand- If Sacramento wants Dalembert, why don't they just trade for him? Philly has been trying to trade him for a long time now, and it sounds like they would take expirings for him.

Dalembert for Kenny Thomas and Hilton Armstrong works.

Maybe they will -- SACs probably his most likely destination. But presumably Petrie knows that no one else will, and he knows Phili's getting desparate. GMs don't just have needs, they have pride.

Because they can`t afford it. They aren`t doing well financially, so, IMO, they would only trade for him if they can get rid of Nocioni in the process.

fair point. if you consider martin for iggy a relatively fair talent exchange, the departure of nocioni or garcia in exchange for delambert is huge and otherwise impossible.

sounds like GM posturing.  The fact is they are 2-14 since Martin has returned.  He and Evans have not worked together.  And if they can move a bad deal like Nocioni they have to listen.  The Maloofs need to move money.

I think Petrie is going to give it more time and then reach his conclusion in the offseason. The trading deadline has arrived too quickly for him.
