These stats of course don't always tell the whole story, but I thought this particular page DOES reflect some pretty interesting points:

1) Our starters are pretty good, our bench is pretty bad
2) Tony Allen is playing defense
3) Garnett still makes the defense "go"
4) Ray Allen still means a lot to our offense

None of this is news, but it tells me we can still contend if Garnett stays healthy and Tony Allen + Marquis Daniels help solidify our rotation. And while Ray Ray's numbers may be shifted by the fact that often when he leaves the court we get Eddie House slumping, we could be in trouble if we replace him with someone who's not a scorer.

The problem is, Davis came back when the C's as a team started playing terribly (not to mention when KG was out), while Williams played a lot of minutes when the team was playing its best basketball of the year.  And I would argue (very strongly) that Williams and Davis did not have a strong affect on the way the rest of the team played during those stretches. 

This is why this is a pretty deceiving stat.  It just does not show you the context for guys who have been in and out of the rotation.

Yep. The difference is Marquis Daniels. It's funny because the chinks in the armor started showing up shortly after Quisy got hurt. It was only a week later when we lost to Philly at home.

You know what statistics tell you? If you have your head in an oven and your behind in a freezer, on average, you are doing pretty well.

Got to agree that the loss of Marquis hurts the team much more then stats would probably show.

82games is slacking this year, it hasnt even updated the Celtics numbers since 1/25.
