Just saw the tweet myself. What else could he be referring to but the Pierce situation. If it is a broken foot, time to blow it up now.

Well, it all depends how bad it is.  If he will be out for 6 weeks, then I think they could still be OK, if he is out for the season, then they should be shopping Allen REALLY hard.

If he is out for six weeks, that means another 2-4 weeks to get back into game shape. All speculation, but if the broken foot is true, the team is done for this year and no sense in waiting to break it up if the right trades are there.

That puts him back into form at the beginning of April...just in time for the playoffs.  They would need to make a move to keep them above water until then, but it would not kill them for the year.  If this team is healthy going into the playoffs, then they are still contenders.

Good thoughts, but what else could it be related to if Shelden is tweeting it? I don't see how it could be anything else but Pierce-related. And, Ainge did sound like he was having a panic attack when he was on the phone with Felger and Maz.

Ainge sounded like he was walking when he was on the phone.  He didn't sound panicked, he sounded short of breath from walking and talking on the phone.

And there are a ton of things it could be other than Pierce.  Perhaps Scal took someone else out in practice, or maybe it has nothing to do with the C's.

Yes, Pierce is the most likely, but there are other posibilities.

makes you wonder why he tweeted it if he knows the team wants to keep the details till they announce it.
