CButler and MMiller for Ray Allen

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ykdjur3
TPrince and RHamilton for Ray

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yf93cpg
Tmac for Ray

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ylnenbk
KMart and JRSmith for Ray and BBD

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yla32cx
Dooling,Yi,BSimmons and Battie for Ray, BBD and Giddens

1. Love Miller's game and think he would be perfect on this team-rebounds,3's, and can pass. Butler could work into being the next Pierce
2. Seen this trade a few times, but starting to like it more as I see Prince becoming more healthy and Ray more aged.
3. Some hate this idea, but I like the start. Tmac has ALWAYS been the go-to-guy(Yao was always off and on hurt) Here he could be the no 2 or 3 option and stay healthy.
4. Less likely but JR seems to be their issue that could be sent away. Kmart is just part of the huge salary inclusion, and BBD could take on his minutes and shed pounds.
5. Perfect for us b/c we get our bench PG,SF,PF and C. They get a salary relief and new lineup to work with till the Lebronstakes this summer

All this trade ideas were off the fly and were successfully made on trade machine to make the numbers work. B/c of Ray's contract size, a couple other fillers could be added such as House or Scal or w/e is need. Draft picks should also then be fully available as the past 2 or 3 years worth have meant nothing to us besides trade incentives.
Can't stop, Rondo!

1.  Maybe/Yes.  I like Caron Butler

2.  No.  There needs to be transition.  This trade would ensure that the Celtics team expired at the exact same time, and it'd suck.

3.  Absolutely not!  Tmac is useless, can't stay on the court, is not a winner, and is completely washed up.  You call him a "go to guy".  Perhaps you meant the "go to store and buy another suit b/c I'm injured guy"

4.  No.  See #2.

5.  No.  Not a fan of the talent coming back.

Although, I do like the fact that you're including BBD in a lot of your trade ideas.  If we traded Ray, I'd want them to include Davis to solve two problems:  1) It would mean we might get back a big who can play good D and fits in on O, and 2) Davis would no longer be the guy coming off the bench for the Celtics.  That's win-win.

Only #1 seems remotely possible.  If we could add BBD in order to get them to throw in Andray Blatche, that'd be great.

I'd be fine with #1 and #2; I think #3 and #5 are horrible for how our team is presently constituted.

#2 would be funny just because it would make us this weird hybrid of the '04 and '05 championship teams.

I'd have to be convinced first that Rip and Tayshaun still have enough left in the tank to be worth it, though.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'd only be willing to do 1, and even then I'd rather look for a better option.

1. Yes in a heartbeat if Mike and Caron can play nearly all the games. Mike is in a little slump over the last 5 games but is still averaging 50% from deep, and can pull down 5+ boards helping fix the rebounding problem a little, and can distribute if Rondo needs to rest. Caron will finally provide us with a PP backup and we get a 6th man even better than Rasheed.

2. Like Pos Impos said, I'd need to know they can last through the season. Then I may consider, and still be wary because they're shooting about 35% average from the field and less than 30% combined from 3. Seems like it could hurt us.

3. Our 2nd option? Averaging 3 points a game? Come on now we may be off track but we ain't the Nets.  ;)

4. Yes, and even though Ray is a better player than JR, he's a solid link, not a liability at all if he can keep his head on. Can distribute when Needed. Now the real reason! K-mart will fix our rebounding problem, and if KG goes down, we'll have a replacement. Maybe he should start, probably not but still lol!  Not sure if Denver agrees though.

5. No because there isn't a Ray replacement (Dooling ain't a replacement) Plus all these guys play for the Nets, half all there stats and thats what they might average if the play for us.

(1) Butler trade = no interest
(2) Pistons trade = mild interest
(3) T-Mac trade = no interest
(4) Nuggets trade = sold ... but Denver aren't interested so no deal
(5) Nets trade = no interest

The only deal I could see happening from both sides is #1.

#1 is a decent idea because...

*The Wizards' season is already a wreck so it doesn't matter.

*If they renounced Gilbert's contract this would give them almost 40 Mil in cap space. Lets not forget that Obama could be used as a way to lure in players.

*We get Caron Butler for this year and next year (plus his Bird rights)

*Mike Miller is a decent rental player

Pistons trade idea is a no

*I don't think either of these dudes have accepted NOT being starters.

*Rip's contract is a little too long

*I do think that Detroit would do this because they could definitely get somebody to come and play with that core of guys.

TMAC trade doesn't make sense

*We'd be paying more in the luxury tax for a player who is MORE injure prone, is a WORSE defender, and we still wouldn't have the money to sign a replacement player.

Denver idea interests me

*But i think JR smith is a hole defensively

*And how many technicals can one front-court group get in one season... Rasheed, KG, Perk, and KMart.... that's a little wild.

*talent-wise this is perfect, attitude wise i don't think so

Nets trade...

*They have no reason to do this trade

*We have no reason to do this trade
