If we were going to lose this game, I wish we got blown out. While there were some good things and some bad things about this loss (especially since it was to the Fakers),one of the worst things that could result from this loss is that Danny, Doc and the Kool-aid drinkers will point to our one point loss and say "We're playing better, we're almost there...we don't need to make any changes." Wake up boys and girls. Yes we do!
1.Trade Ray. "Everybody loves him", "class act", blah blah blah He's stuck in OCD land with his shooting. We need young legs, a backup pg, a serviceable two, a defensive, athletic SF and someone who will be either PPs replacement or RA's permanent replacement eventually or the best player available to turn into something else. His expiring, as so many others on this board have opined hundreds of times is very valuable, but has an expiration date.
2.Package the expirings (Scal,House,Giddens)our first this year and BBD for the needs mentioned above that Ray's trade does not provide.
3.Danny, have a talk with Doc about his in game strategies, how he platoons players and his over reliance on players who are ice cold, but he stll stays with them because he, like them (House and Allen and Sheed especially) believes??? the next one will go in.
Again, if we were going to lose today, I wish we got blown out because this one point heart breaker will be used as an excuse to keep the status quo. That will hurt this team more than its effect on the W-L column.
