If we were going to lose this game, I wish we got blown out. While there were some good things and some bad things about this loss (especially since it was to the Fakers),one of the worst things that could result from this loss is that Danny, Doc and the Kool-aid drinkers will point to our one point loss and  say "We're playing better, we're almost there...we don't need to make any changes." Wake up boys and girls. Yes we do!

1.Trade Ray. "Everybody loves him", "class act", blah blah blah He's stuck in OCD land with his shooting. We need young legs, a backup pg, a serviceable two, a defensive, athletic SF and someone who will be either PPs replacement or RA's permanent replacement eventually or the best player available to turn into something else. His expiring, as so many others on this board have opined hundreds of times is very valuable, but has an expiration date.

2.Package the expirings (Scal,House,Giddens)our first this year and BBD for the needs mentioned above that Ray's trade does not provide.

3.Danny, have a talk with Doc about his in game strategies, how he platoons players and his over reliance on players who are ice cold, but he stll stays with them because he, like them (House and Allen and Sheed especially) believes??? the next one will go in.

Again, if we were going to lose today, I wish we got blown out because this one point heart breaker will be used as an excuse to keep the status quo. That will hurt this team more than its effect on the W-L column.

To answer the question in the subject line: the fact that it was Kobe that hit the game winner. Any other guy on the team is better. When it is Kobe, I just get salty.

The thing I disliked the most about the loss was the part about not winning.
Yup

i hear you but he is a great player as much as we all dislike him. great defesne, guy is amazing. made a great shot, we played him well all day long.

i would rather see him make it rather than that no talent you know what fisher, or crybaby gasol. i do not like bryant, but he is amazing. one of the best of all time.

of course, you can swing a dead cat in that locker room and hit someone i hate, so there is no right or wrong answer.

The Laker love fest on ESPN.

sorry to double post, but agree with this one 100%

breen cried for a rule change when odom got called for offensive goaltending. let me repeat that...a rule change!

they pointed out the handful of calls that went the c's way and glanced over the ton that went against the c's, including the two phantom  calls on pierce in the first quarter.

The worst thing?  Probably the reaction from many Celtics fans, who have given up on this team in late January.

the worst part, now that i think about it more, is the fact that we have lost to them at home two years in a row. last year was an absolute hatchet job by the officials that handed the visitors the game, similar to the game against atlanta a few weeks back. tonight was not quite as bad as last year officiating wise, but two straight home losses by 1 point is tough to swallow.

bennett salvadore....i do not like him.

Thank god we play them again in 18 days.  A win there would certainly put an end to all this over-reaction.
