I still like Eddie.  He's not exactly a trade asset, so I wouldn't trade him unless his contract was key to the deal.  I'd trade the young uns and Scal before I let him go.

I like him as the 12th-15th man, not as our backup pg

I'd like him there too, but nobody has that kind of depth.  Eddie's shortcomings as a ballhandler wouldn't be quite so pronounced if we had more than 2 and a 1/2 capable drive and kick guys on the team.  Right now its Pierce and Rondo and Ray on a good day and they're all in the starting line-up.  And he's not bad when he's playing with those guys.

I agree, especially about Ray. When he's in OCD mode he just dribbles himself into a corner and then passes the ball to the other team or goes out of bounds. Hopefully when Daniels comes back Eddie will be more effective.

You guys are so wrong if you think that Eddie(a 10 min man) is a problem to this team

It's not specifically Eddie, it's the lack of a decent backup pg that is a problem for this team. The second unit is terrible because they have no floor leader who can dribble the ball up and run an offense. If Eddie could do that, he would be much more than a 10 min man.

I bet he's leading the league in 22 ft 2 pointers by a mile!

He has a lot of foot movement pre-shot and would miss if he checked his feet so you can't really get mad at him, ya know. But it can be so frustrating.

I felt Eddie was solid with Marquis.

Exactly and that is why Danny tried to make a trade for Heinrich. Eddie was most likely offered along with scal and TA ,  so its not just us that want a real backup pg off the bench Danny does too.

love eddie house but he has to go. he gives us nothing right now

Yep, there are plenty of cheap shooters out there we can replace him with. I hope he nets us something.

I was just saying in another forum by accident how he's currently getting outplayed by Earl Boynkins.  It's not lookin great for Eddie.  He really couldn't defend a chair.

Did you just see the possession where Eddie couldn't get it across half court so he threw it 3/4 court to TA... then he just went 1-on-1.

That's the problem

Do you do this trade?

Ray Allen
Eddie House

for

Kirk Hinrich
John Salmons
Tyrus Thomas

Why for Boston
*Ray Allen isn't quite what he... was last year. And our only alternatives are to replace him via the MLE or resign him at about 8 or 9 mill. (and i think thats a little pricey at this point)
*If Eddie House isn't draining RIDICULOUS three's then he's basically useless

Why for Chicago
*Chicago is looking to clear up some cap space for a big free agent, while at the same time remaining competative.

Rose, Ray, Deng, Gibson, Noah

That is a competitive team. And 21 million dollars is a good amount to lure some FAs.

yes...i think this is a fair trade both ways, relative to what each team is wanting to accomplish.  i like this trade...
