Doing some research for an upcoming post (after a few more games) about how the Celtics look on offense / defense in terms of the four factors (shooting, free throws, turnovers, rebounds), and I have a few tidbits that provide modest optimism for the offense:
Celts are 3rd in 3 point attempts per game.
If some of their main guys improve their percentages a bit that could juice the offense in a big way.
Celts are 10th in fast break points per game.
Any way you can generate easy baskets is good, so at least the Celts do that.
Celts are 3rd in fewest turnovers per possession.
So at least they don't give the ball away very often; this is good because they can't afford to throw away possessions given how inefficient they are.
