No surprise after last nights epic fail. Similar pattern tho, ran out fast then started turning it over and so forth. You know, they got the youth vet mix wrong again. Last year they got too young, this time, too old.

As is,a int going nowhere. With Q, better but still aint going nowhere nowhere. They need a Powe with length, a Davis that can elevate, a Shelden with quick feet. What they aint got. Made a good run..

danny has failed to add good young talent to this team via the draft...and it is hurting them.

Luckily for us, that is months away...that's the thing. I'd much rather be peaking in late March/April than be peaking now...though we are nowhere near being close to the ascent.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
no reason why bill walker didn't play in this game.

the hawks are a matchup nightmare for the celtics - all those wing players.

bill walker is the excellent guy to play against them...i don't know what doc is waiting for...

I honestly don't understand why so many people call for Bill Walker to get into games.  Can anyone explain it to me?

I know that the alternatives are not appealing--Scal is not the guy you want to see when you're trying to get through tough stretches--but I've never seen anything from Walker that makes me think he's any better than Kedrick Brown. Athletic, sure, but what else? I could be wrong.  I've just never seen anything from him.

i remember thinking the same thing about ryan gomes.

we'll never know until he gets meaningful minutes.  at this point he's definitely worth a shot.  he couldn't do any worse, and maybe (just maybe) we have a hidden gem on our bench.

  • Rondo = Good
So what's the margin of victory for the Lakers Sunday?  And how painful will it to watch Kobe grinning or perhaps doing that jaw-underbite thing?

Yeah, seriously, we've had late first rounders and mid 2nd rounders.  what do you expect?  most players taken in those ranges end up doing nothing for their teams, especially teams who already have solid rotation players 1-8

Not entirely fair to DA --they are drafting in round 2 (Giddens & Pru were busts, tho). They got one championship, made a run at 2 but KG went down. Gambled with vets on 2.10 and seem to be wilting.

Mmmmh... Am I the only one positive afer this game (usually i'm not)? Let me say:

1) No third quarter collapse (+11)
2) Not outrebounded
3) Very good Paul Pierce
4) KG seems can improve
5) Very poor Rondo (usually he plays much better)
6) Atlanta played with dagger from start to finish, Boston not
7) In the forth Doc gives more minutes to the bench than atlanta
8) Give less three point shot to Wallace and we can win
9) A trade can always arrive to improve bench

by going with walker and giddens...they have added zero...i look all around the league and see guys drafted late in rounds that contribute. boston has no good young players other than rondo....he could have drafted chalmers...could have moved up tp get blair when he was just sitting there....the pruitt and giddens picks really look to be wasted

I can't fault Ainge too much. Who, among us, would have thought that Eddie would be so [dang] bad this season? Who, among us, thought that BBD would regress so badly this season?

Sheed is not an ideal 6th man, but his flaws would be a lot less damaging if it wasn't for how incredibly bad players who last year were solid off the bench have become.

Here's to hoping good players get bought out.

You gave no names...I think out of anything, drafting is not the thing to go after DA about.

Athleticism goes a long way in this league.

idk if we're watching the same Bill Walker... every time I've seen him get in a game he make some good plays and dunks the ball.
