Per Sherrod Blakely :

Quote
Kevin Garnett will have some company at next month's All-Star Game in Dallas.

Two sources confirmed that both Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo are expected to be among the Eastern Conference all-star reserves announced later tonight.

Congrats to Pierce once again, and big congrats to Rondo for his first all-star selection! I'm truly looking forward to see him play in the All-Star Game, it should be really fun.

Rondo should be starting but I guess he will get a lot of minutes. Can't wait to see how he plays along and with other stars. :)

No surprises. They both deserved it. Does anyone have any new news on if Pierce will be selected for the 3pt contest? Also, I'd like to see Rondo in the skills competition.

I'm glad Pierce still made the cut, I was worried he'd be the last guy left off due to Iverson stealing a spot.

Great news.

Both are definitely deserving.

Good news though I would love it if Doc gets to coach the team and then doesn't play his players

I rest would do them well

Great for those guy, especially for Rondo.  This should be the first of many.
I'd rather see House in the 3 point shootout because I think he'd do better.  House should have made it last year.

I hope Pierce opts to rest during the AS break.

Is it officially the "Big 4", "Rondo and the Big 3" or does Rondo just take Ray's place?

Good to see them in the game.  However, Rondo should be starting...

Is Iverson even healthy enough to play in the All Star Game?

If Iverson was in a wheelchair, he would be out there for his own selfish satisfaction of proving his own worth

I've always liked Iverson, but is anyone else with me in hoping he embarrasses himself and looks out of place?

If Iverson had any decency, he would have taken himself out.

I don't think Iverson should take himself out. If he was chosen as a reserve, then maybe he should consider it, but since it was the fans the voted for him he should show up.

With that said, what needs to be fixed is the voting itself and how it's done and how much power the fans have over the starters that are chosen. But I really can't hold against a player for being voted in... I hold the ignorant fans responsible... Unless the player is Chinese because we know that Chinese voting is absurd.
