If the Lakers get Hinrich for expirings, I'm going to be irritated, since we can offer the same thing.

Good point. How would you craft a trade with Bulls that would seem to make sense for both parties?

Bos Sends: BBD . Scal , Daniels ,  Giddens & future 1st

Chi Sends: Hinrich & Taj Gibson

Bos Roster

PG: Rondo.     /  Hinrich
SG: Ray.          /  House
SF:  PP.            /  TA
PF:  KG.           /   Gibson
 C:  Perk.         /   Sheed

Now that is a complete roster. If we could do that trade we would definitely be favorites. I like Heinrich better than Daniels as a PG and he is big enough to play alongside House

Is this old news?I saw this on real gm and espn.com wow that would be a ridiculous defensive team.perfect fit for them. yuck.

It makes way too much sense.  Hinrich is perfect for them, and they can offer expiring contracts for him.  I am frankly surprised it hasn't happened already.

Guess it depends on what exactly Chicago is looking for on their end.  If they're simplying looking for expirings, LAL could send Morrison, Farmar, and Mbenga (or Powell).  That's over $8 million expiring there.

It depends on how much Chicago really wants to be players in this 2010 free agent class.  They not really getting much here in return.

Fisher and Morrison gets it done. Fisher probably waived, Morrison kept as a circus pony/human cigar

How would it make them ridiculous defensively? Kobe only plays hard for one possession, Artest is done, Hinrich's good, but he can't guard Rondo.

Yeah but they will be paying 28 million dollars for him for two more years. Because of tax. That's a lot.

Ha...circus pony, huh?  I like that.  Still won't get me back to the United Center unless the C's are in town, though.

Well, I am biased, because I have always been a big Hinrich fan, but I think he is worth it as a starting PG.  It is one thing for a team like the C's, who already have a starting PG were to trade for him, to pay $9 million per year for a bench player, but for the Lakers, he will slide right in as a starter, making him much less of an albatross.

IMHO, we MUST do something to upgrade the bench. Other contenders are looking to improve. Granted, we will be better if everyone is healthy but there are needs and options for improvement. If LA gets Heinrich then we have even more work to do.

You trippin. The Lakers are already a good defensive team, their only weakness is guarding PGs. Heinrich is a big upgrade on offense and especially defense.

Honestly, if Hinrich is even covering Rondo, then the C's are in good shape.  More likely what will happen is they will put Kobe on Rondo, who will basically play free safety, forcing Rondo to shoot from the outside, and Hinrich will just stick with Ray, who he can absolutely stick with.

Ditto.
I would love Hinrich on the Cs (for the right package).

There have been rumors that CHI is going to go after Amare Stoudamire hard. If this is true then the package going back to PHO would be Heinrich and Ty Thomas. Hopefully this goes down because if the Lakers add a tough defender at the PG position like Heinrich they are going to be very tough to beat.

I don't think either team will take on the additional payroll.

I'd love it if the C's did though.
