I would love to have Ray back in Celtics Green next year. Such a class act. Hope he returns to the Cs and finish his career in Boston.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
looking down the line...if we did so happen to win another championship...Ray will be one of the guys in the booth in like 3 years. Mark my words.

Ideal thing, trade for Monta and then resign him

next year you mean? Do you think Ray would resign with the C'S next year for the MLE? That would be so sweet our roster would look like this

PG: Rondo / vet fa
SG: Ellis / Ray
SF: PP    / TA,Giddens or Walker
PF: KG    / BBD
 C: Perk  . Sheed

That would be an awesome roster
Yup, but as I see Donny lol'ed trade talks so never mind :)

i would trade ray this year to try to re-load this team.  i would do the same with paul next year and Garnet after that.  Of course, I would make every effort to re-sign them.  I know this is blasphemy but I am pretty sure that Ainge is on record that the last big three should have been traded in their waning years so that we wouldn't have been so crippled for the next 20 years.  I think that is on Ainge's mind that he need's to build for the future.

Good Point, but I think the Bias thing crippled Boston's Last Big Three more than anything else...

But I'd love Ray to Stay, as well. I really believe that Danny will get something done.

And he mentioned TA getting more playing time? If TA starts then we will see less torching of our opponents from outside shooting. He is not the best defender, but he a pretty decent one.

Please get it done, Danny.

D.Ainge just said on weei the rumors of trading Ray was laughable and he's told Ray that he is a part of their plans for the future. Also, will be considering resigning Ray after this season if both parties can reach an agreement.

Danny says there are plenty of teams wanting Ray,because he can hit the big shots in crunch time.Says Ray is like a Reggie Miller, wouldn't be surprise to see Ray playing at 39 as Reggie did.He feels theres a lot of bball left in Ray.

I don't think Ainge would hesitate to lie while still looking to make moves.
