I have to think that any trade idea with Phoenix trading Amare to Boston is just not very realistic

The players(Perk, Davis) we have to offer to replace Amare as young players on the Suns just doesn't fit with their style

But maybe Phoenix thinks they can retain Amare long term and decide to keep him and build around him and Nash with Dragic, Dudley, Frye and others

Could trading the second largest contract and another then be the way to go for Phoenix in clearing some cap space for the addition of a possible free agent or two

Boston receives Jason Richardson, Grant Hill and Leandro Barbosa

Phoenix receives Ray Allen, Marquis Daniels and Eddie House

House, Daniels and Allen fit the Phoenix style for the remainder of the season while allowing the Suns to shed payroll down to the $40 million mark next year setting them up with enough cap space to entice a bargain free agent or two to the sunshine in Phoenix, one of the most desirable places to play in the NBA

Boston gets a younger viable solution at SG who's contract expires simultaneously with Pierce's

They get Grant, someone they wanted this off season anyway and they get Barbosa the scoring, decent ball handling off the bench combo guard that can do it all

Boston still retains a bunch of scrub expiring contracts to move for more pieces or allow to expire and end up with this playoff rotation

Rondo/Barbosa
Richardson/Tony Allen
Pierce/Hill
KG/Davis
Perkins/Wallace
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

That's definitely an intriguing idea.  basically swapping old-timers and 2 younger players.  The only downside I could see in this is that we're giving up the 2 best outside shooters and not really getting a major 3 point threat back.  probably smalltime concern but if Danny could parlay the other expirings into a shooter off the bench to pair with Barbosa, that would seal the deal for me.  Having Hill as the back up SF and giving Doc a better option than Scal is no small deal for me.

Eh...I like picking up Hill but it slows down our bench. Richardson doesnt do it for me...I like having Marquis come off the bench for us. If we could get him out of the deal and add an expiring (which the suns would be looking for) then i would be more apt to conisider.
