Obviously, I'd much rather see him go to Miami.  I think Miami could put together a compelling trade package for Phoenix.  He's definitely an upgrade on Beasley which is the only reason I'd see Beasley being moved in the first place.

I hope Amare goes to San Antonio. That's what I want.

The Miami Heat have intensified their efforts to trump Cleveland in the chase for Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire

How

The Suns don't want Jermaine O'Neal or his contract

The Suns don't want Michael Beasley because of his character makeup

The Suns do want expiring contracts of medium range to buy out and young talent

Other than first round picks and Udonis Haslem, how is Miami going to trump Cleveland's offer

Miami HAS to get a third team involved
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

I don't buy that they don't want Beasley.  I am sure he is not their top target, but I am sure they would rather have him than Hickson.

I think the problem here is both teams are playing hardball.  But if Miami is really willing to send Beasley, Haslem (or JRich), and a first rounder for Amare, then this will get done.

It is amazing how much Amare trade talk is going in the Suns realgm forum.

Multiple threads with 1,000+ replies.  Wow.

I do

I think the Suns organization does want to get rid of one headache only to take on a headache of a different nature

They probably aren't going to be very good going forward so why not have a good clubhouse with good character people

They already have Hill, Nash, Dudley, Frye, Barbosa and a bunch of young guys that are all really good people and hard workers

Why throw a monkey wrench into the equation with Beasley

Of course they want Beasley, but his value has plummeted now that people realize he's a dumb pothead.  Beasley and Haslem are definitely not enough value, but if the Suns are seriously considering Z and Hickson, then the miami package seems like a goldmine.  I think the suns are really holding out for Varejao, but they probably won't get him.

Have to give props to wdleehi, you are master of the trade machine.  That is a work of art.  I actually think that may improve us this year, not to mention give us a chance to let Beasley smoke more grass with Pierce.

If being a dumb pothead lowered your trade value not many people in the league would have any value. I don't think his trade value has lowered because he is being rumored in a swap for Amare.

PHX actually wants Hickson more than Beasley.  Better work ethic and attitude.  Fits the slasher role that their PF requires.

Also, CLE can offer PHX more cap relief and revenue sharing this year.

Only way Miami gets Amare is if PHX can get Iggy

That seems...incredibly short sighted of them and a very cavs friendly view of hickson's value to this trade.

Can't help but feel I've heard this argument about Glen davis when trade posters tell me how much he's valued around the league, despite what we value him at. Diffrent degree's of course, but same flavor..

Hickson is a nice player, but beasley is going to be a all-star. I can't see PHX declining to pick up a much better player because he got caught smoking weed at the age of 22. If those are thier restrictions, they are going to have a hard time getting talent they should value for amare, given the sticky's prevalence throughout the nba.
