I had a dream last night that we traded...Perk! Like most memories of dream afterwards, I can only think remember everything being fuzzy, but I did see that we traded him to the Pacers( Funny b/c I did the same thing last year on 2k9 to get Troy Murphy and a couple others) So to complete this dream and thread, I've put together a some trade scenarios.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yj7z8mj
Perk, Giddens, Walker, two 1st rounds  -  Dahntay, Hibbert, Rush
IND gets a developed C and draft picks.
BOS gets 2 wings and a young prospect C.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yj5pb3u
Perk,Giddens,Walker,Tony,Scal,BBD,Tony,1st - Troy,Dahntay,Rush
IND gets their future C and PF and draft picks
BOS gets future Pierce and KG replacements.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yhtsq5k
IND gets Duhon, Curry, Perk and 1st round f/ BOS and NYC
BOS gets Nate, Troy, Hibbet and Dahntay
NYC gets Ford,House,Giddens,Tony,Scal,BBD and 2nd round f/ BOS
Boston gets Rondo, Ray/Pierce, and KGs backup plus a new C.
Pacers get a new PG, developed C, salary dump C and draft picks.
NYC ges a salary dump, plus D'Antoni's favorite House, a new PG, BBD and some draft picks.

If we were going to blow it up by trading the anchor of our defense for now and the future I hope we'd get something better than that in return. Perk has more value to us on our team than in a trade. I still don't get why people are so anxious to make all sorts of crazy trades for no reason. Just remember I'm making these types of posts come playoff time when, everything will be fine and the Cs will be poised to win another title.

Re: #2

I feel like i'm taking crazy pills. Brandon Rush is the pierce replacement?

What the heck is with the Brandon Rush love around here? There was another thread that said Indiana would "consider" moving him for a borderline all-star?

Really? A guy who is already 24 and is, at most, a "nice" player to have on a roster? He has a sub-10 PER! his FG% is barely above his 3pt%! Please, explain what it is that makes people think he's going to be a star...other than the fact that he went to a good college program and has the last name "Rush" that automatically seems to make a player waaay overhyped.

Doesn't make much sense.  Seems like you have been playing too much 2k9 and not watching much basketball.
Brandon Rush is just not that good.  And Perk is vastly superior to anything coming back in the middle.  Not get me started on the Draft Choices.

He has been living on hype for awhile, hasn't he? I think everyone is reacting to his play against Boston, when he was raining 3s and swooping around blocking/contesting shots left and right.

It might make sense to trade Perk at some time before the 2011 offseason. Perkins' agent will likely ask for Dalembert/Dampier type of money and we simply will not be able to compete if we sign Kendrick Perkins to 8 mil a year. It will constrict our ability to actually pick up a big name, imo.

The trade ideas were simply to pass the time. I made the best possible trade scenarios from a garbage team. Like I said at the start, it was a random dream. And I do agree that Perk is worth more, but they have little to give.
